I worked in politics and public service because I believe deep in my bones that government can and should be a force for good in the lives of people. So I absolutely love it when I see smart, action-oriented policymakers taking action to make that true.

The latest example is NYC’s Red Tape Relief Act, which will make it *much* easier for the City’s local businesses to get their doors open sooner and keep their lights on. It’s the kind of get-shit-done commonsense reform that makes a real, immediate difference.

Nice work by @theNYCalliance to get this to the finish line, and h/t to @BrooklynChamber, @thenewbxcc, @ManhattanCofC and @QueensChamber for coming together to support NYC businesses.
