I don't see a point in continuing this conversation, as you have made it clear that you don't want to put your child through brief pain in order to have early detection for metabolic/endocrine/other disorders.

@Moonlight7Tea @indigoati 1/2 There are 30+ things that are tested for, we need about 5 drops of blood to test for everything. It is not torture to have this performed (I doubt you remember it being done) and it often saves the child's life and/or improves the QOL

If you don't do the screening and these disorders are missed then the child can have a worsened quality of life, brain damage, or die within months with no treatment
