people need to be loved in a particular way to be feel / seen. do the work. if you care, figure out what that is and don’t assume that your way of loving is the correct way because you’ll learn very quickly what it’s like to be alone.
that person may become only a distant memory…
and because of those experiences you shared with them, the love you shared, the lessons you learned, the heart break you felt, and the work you did for yourself…
your life will lead to even greater experiences
I know what it feels like to have everything, then lose it. To sit in total darkness, forcing yourself to have patience when nothing good seems to be coming, and to sit with that pain day after day.
The easy option is always there, whispering your name — to give in to every vice and numb the ache. But there’s a different kind of strength and confidence that only comes from denying those shortcuts, trusting yourself, and facing the pain head-on.
I’m here to tell you this: on the other side of all that is victory.
I faced that pain and transmuted it. I channeled the desire and the want into every single day — showing up to work wearing my scars vulnerably, using that fire to power my workouts, and building deeper relationships by truly understanding the shared sorrow of being human. I became a better friend and mentor in the process.
The person I created in the darkness, when nobody was looking — the hard choices I made by saying no to the easy options without applause — became something far bigger and more beautiful than anything born in comfort.
I’m here to tell you: change isn’t optional. It is mandatory. There is no genuine growth, real strength, or lasting victory without it. And that change begins the moment you finally stop running from the stasis and start facing what hurts.
