Per @alvatonfire Last night (3/29), at 8:01pm, Alvaton, along with Plano, Gott, and Woodburn fire departments were dispatched to an involved residential structure fire on New Cut Road. Arriving units found a fully engulfed home with reported explosions and requested BGFD for additional resources. Due to the location of the home in relation to fire hydrants, water shuttle operations were needed and Browning FD was requested to the scene. Units remained on scene until ~4am, extinguishing all remaining hot spots in the debris. There were no injuries at this fire.
A sincere thank you to our partners on scene:

For the love of everything, PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER for any stopped vehicles! Not only does it save life’s, it’s the law! Keep trooper Keith and his family alongside Indiana State Police in your prayers.
Trooper Azariah Keith stopped along I-65 to help a stranded motorist change a flat tire. As he finished changing the tire he was struck by a drunk driver
He is in stable condition with serious injuries
Please keep Azariah, his wife and two young children in your thoughts
If you did not know, if you live in Warren Co (outside of city limits), your fire protection is provided by volunteers. Our departments are underfunded, short staffed, and ultimately in need of a fresh change to provide the best possible service to the residents of Warren county.
