Biggest issue these days, lacrosse coaches who praise D1 talent to schools when the kid really may be D3 at best.

Find an honest club coach and listen, learn and grow. Don’t be fooled by #laxpolitics

Ask questions and do your homework on your club coach first!!

Note to all parents...if you’re kid is getting mail and letters of interest, its all marketing. If a team really wants your kid to play at the next level, they will invite you without having to pay a dime for a camp or an overnight.

Don’t be fooled. It’s a $$ maker for the team.

Fall lax is right around the corner...new club coach sacrifices three top players others to add his own kid to Maverick Showcase for 2020. BTW, he bumped his kid up from the B team. This is why these showcases are a joke, not about talent, more about who your dad is.

I have a friend up in northern New York who this resembles. Kid has eleven offers for DII and D III, but can’t play a lick on his high school team. Coach plays friends kids, not talent. This kid could literally start on any Syracuse team, even had a higher save % than starter. 🤬

I play club with a goalie who has everything handed to him on a silver platter...Showtime...twice and at best he’s a low level DIII player. Still uncommitted too.

Our coach is a very self centered, all about the W kinda guy. He told the parents of our goalie not to get looked at for his fractured ankle so he could continue to play, he preaches D I all day...parents bought it and now he’s in a cast. Parents should be charged. 🤔😔

Couldn’t agree more. What’s even worse is how other people only see dollars over kids. It’s not about the kids it’s about making a buck off those kids and providing false hope...and lies.

Youth club lacrosse is broken. The sport is so far behind other sports in terms keeping a fair and equal playing field for kids. Clubs shouldn’t brag about how they develop players when they just add the best players available who aren’t on their roster each week.

Well, at another tournament this weekend. First game, kid gets hit in head, obviously knocked out, play resumes and he’s still on the ground...#refereeWTF no concussion protocol, obviously wobbly on his feet, yet coach insists he goes in and refs do nothing. Shaking my head.

@jentaun I know. That is coaches getting paid. Really what good does it do your kid? I have a friend who is a goalie, has five offers and plays back up to a goalie who is plays because his dad knows the coach.

Well, here we go again. Go to a showcase, lay down 14 G and 5 A in 5 games. No consideration for all star game. Meanwhile kid on my line who had 3 goals, off my assist, gets the nod. #laxshowcasepolitics
