Shark’s Prediction for 2023. Thoughts?
1. Ohio State
2. Alabama
3. Clemson
4. UGA
UGA over Ohio State
Bama over Clemson
Bama over UGA title
UGA only team ever to win back to back titles but be in shambles after now being 1-6 vs Saban.
Listening to Bear from ESPN College Game Day on the Stanford Steve podcast. Bear told a story that Joe Burrow was set to go to Tennessee with Greg Schiano. Schiano was told he had the job and when Tennessee and the Clay Travis mob blew it up, Joe decided go go to LSU.
You look back at other programs who went through major scandals or coaching changes and I can’t think of any(minus Oklahoma) who benefited from it like OSU.
Urban Meyer has the Zach Smith debacle, health issues, etc. He turns it over to Ryan Day and even though we need to see a few more years to get a good read on him, he completely elevated the offense and got away from the QB run happy type O that was going out of style.
Give credit to Ryan Day sticking with Stroud after a tough 1st half
Not only kept him in, but continued to air it out on intermediate and deep shots
In a tight road game, seems like Meyer would have over-relied on QB power instead
Takeaways from last nights game:
1. OL, WR, RBs are a 5/5. Studs.
2. Stroud will need time. He’s 19 & his first start was away in the rain on a Thursday. Stat sheet was good but doesn’t tell the whole story. Has some work to do
3. Defense 🤦🏻♂️. We had some guys out I’m worried.
