When AJ Arabic was posting about what the U.S.-backed Saudi-UAE coalition was doing to Yemeni children. In 2018.
Compare it to their coverage today, which pushes for expanding war against Yemenis.
Pakistani military has removed an elected provincial government and suspended the Pakistani constitution in almost the quarter of the country because they were protesting to free Imran Khan. This is what just happened in Pakistan.
🇵🇰 “A Coup Dissguised as Emergency": Pakistan suspends Imran Khan's party's provincial government
President Asif Ali Zardari declared a state of emergency on Sunday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a northwestern province bordering Afghanistan and the only one governed by Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The order removed its chief minister and cabinet, and a federally appointed governor will run the province for an initial six months. Islamabad accuses the provincial government of failing to confront militant attacks.
The move came a week into a PTI march on Islamabad demanding Khan's release. The army was authorized to deploy across the province, and phone and internet service was cut in the provincial capital, Peshawar, and in Swabi, according to local media.
PTI says ousted Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has been detained. A party spokesperson called the move "a coup disguised as emergency."
Utterly disingenuous comparison (usually trotted out by pro-Congressites unreconciled to Pakistan’s independence). Mr. Jinnah neither declared governor’s rule, nor imposed emergency. Cabinet government never lapsed, and the assembly was not displaced. Plus, Dr. Khan Sahib’s ministry had lost its majority in the assembly, even forgetting he had publicly promised he would resign if he lost the pro-Pakistan referendum (thus forfeiting the public mandate), and then did not resign after he did lose. Whether or not Mr. Jinnah should have done it is a separate argument: comparing it to today’s disaster is getting it completely backwards.
This is such a dishonest bullshit article. Unbelievable. The provincial government was not removed due to "islamist militancy" issue as the article repeats the military's lies without question. The govt was removed because KP govt decided to protest against Asim Munir's junta.

Laiba Ijaz didn't commit suicide just because her admission turned out to be fake, but because she was certain that filing a police case would be useless and the money was gone forever. It had more to do with her distrust in Pakistani criminal justice system
