It seems incredible to me people discussing a central midfield struggling to break down a packed defensive unit and not a soul mentioning Mainoo. He’s superb in tight spaces, can turn the ball round a corner and can ghost past players with the ball better than Rice & Anderson!
This couldn’t be further from the truth, world class is top 3 in your position:
Harry Kane is a top 3 CF
Declan Rice is a top 3 CM
Jude Bellingham is a top 3 #10
Reece James is a top 3 RB
Bukayo Saka is a top 3 RW
At the very least, there’s 5 world class players with players like Marcus Rashford, Elliot Anderson and Nico O’Reilly all on the fringes.
I’ve only seen about 3 clips of Alexei Lalas punditry in this World Cup and that’s enough to gain a position right towards the top of the ‘Planets most insufferable human beings’ category.
I’m not ‘pro fifa’ by any stretch, but this tweet totally minimises the response. Indicative of the modern world. People will read that and just take it as read that was the extent of the response
Infantino was asked by a BBC journalist if he's embarrassed by what has come to pass and does he accept he's lost control of his tournament here.
His response: “in 2035, the Women’s World Cup, I think, will be in the UK. Would you find it normal that FIFA will dictate to the British government who to let in the country and who not to let in?”

When Eric Cantona walked back into the Manchester United dressing room at Selhurst Park, everyone knew what was coming.
He had just been sent off against Crystal Palace.
Then on the way down the touchline, he had launched himself into the crowd and kicked a supporter.
So the United players were sat there waiting for Alex Ferguson.
And once he arrived, there was no gentle opening.
Ferguson came in with his jacket off, sleeves rolled up, and everything in the middle of the dressing room started going.
Cups of tea.
Sandwiches.
Shirts and balls waiting to be signed.
All of it.
“We’re getting scalded and getting egg sandwiches down the back of our necks.”
The players all looked at each other thinking the same thing.
Cantona was finished.
Only Ferguson did not start with Cantona.
He went for Gary Pallister.
Then Paul Ince.
Then Sharpe.
“F****** Pallister, you can’t head anything, you can’t tackle.”
“Incey, where the f*** have you been?”
“Sharpey, my grandmother runs f****** faster than you.”
By this point, Cantona was still sitting there waiting for his turn.
Everyone else was getting destroyed for the performance, the marking, the defending, everything.
“You’re all a f****** disgrace.”
“Nine o’clock tomorrow morning, I’m going to run your f****** nuts off.”
Finally, Ferguson got to Cantona.
The whole dressing room was waiting for the explosion.
And then his voice changed.
“And Eric.”
“You can’t go round doing things like that son.”

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life
“It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again”
“It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused”
“I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”
I appreciate you’re being diplomatic, but it’s embarrassing and quite frankly a disgrace. To refuse these kids the opportunity to play in front of tens of thousands of fans for potentially the only time in their career for some, by denying United a proper ground and allocation.
Regardless of tribalism, ‘Emptihad’ taunts etc. it is not a good look that a 7,000-capacity training ground stadium is pockmarked by empty seats at kick-off for an FA Youth Cup final when more than 67,000 were inside Old Trafford for the 2022 final.
Bruno Fernandes has now created 120 chances in the Premier League this season.
The most by a Manchester United player in a season on record (since 2003/04). 🤯
