A bit shameful but telling that while Rotimi Amaechi is yet mourning his mother, Nyesom Wike continues to attack his former boss and kinsman without the decency to utter any word of sympathy so far.

Wike is obviously still hurt that he was snubbed by Atiku in 2023 while the amiable Amaechi was chosen in 2027 and he is trying to set the narrative ahead for what will surely be an epic contest between both men.

Anyone still seeing Amaechi from the prism of ethnic squabbles or Rivers politics is yet to understand the stakes of 2027 and Atiku’s pathway to victory.
