@Bjergsen Hey Soren, I just wanted to say you made a huge impact in my life. When i was a kid over 10 years ago trying to go pro, you were THE one I looked up to every day. I dont mean to sound cheesy but I admired everything you did. I hope one day I can share my story with you. Thank you
it is imperative that you, as a man, wherever possible, keep all of your problems to yourself
endeavour to overcome your difficulties without burdening those you love with unnecessary stress
for elite individuals, and traditionally English gentlemen, having a stiff upper lip will come naturally
but it does however, cause an unusual side effect...
our problems are so numerable & monumental
that it can be challenging to take other people seriously when they explain their own
"I'm dealing with unpaid payroll, multiple lawsuits, unexpected tax bills, errant employees and lawless servants of the state
and your biggest problem is...
choosing the optimal desert for next fortnight's dinner party?"
resist the temptation to ridicule them
maybe they're making mountains out molehills
maybe those are just their mountains?
but either way, it's unbecoming to belittle the people you're supposed to protect
instead, its essential to adopt a more charitable attitude
and remember that not everyone was born to bear the weight of the world on their shoulders
in fact, we choose to carry that cross so that they wouldn't have to
so next time someone you love is overly concerned about nothing, just sit back, smile & pray that's always the worst of their worries
Nobody achieves anything great w/o INTENSITY!
People can’t comprehend the work I put in to reach the levels I did.
Just about every Sunday I was in the office reviewing for 10 YEARS. Most on here can’t do a DRC every day for a single month.
YOU NEED TO BE FUELED BY A WHY.
The beauty of Goggins is he serves as a wake-up call to our potential and a reminder of what we can achieve but don’t bc pushing ourselves w extreme intensity is uncomfortable.
I’ve grown soft the last few yrs w/o a WHY.
The good news is my new WHY is Project MO and it is fueling me.
Every day of ‘24, 7am I’ve been running a few miles and then swimming in the Pacific.
I HATE swimming. I HATE cold water.
There is not a single person in the water with me, let alone w/o a wetsuit.
But I do it to rebuild my “do hard things” muscle that atrophied. As discussed in this episode.
Timely discussion & Goggins brings it as always.
It becomes increasingly difficult to delay gratification in the modern world.
Every company is doing its best to give you what you want, right now, even when it's not in your best interest.
Delayed gratification is what makes people successful.
It is a competitive advantage.
$10,000 WAGER AGAINST S&P FURUS
I am EXTREMELY skeptical of one’s ability to succeed only intraday trading the s&p or similar indices.
NO BROKEN SLOT MACHINE = NO EDGE!
Yet huge FinTwit ecosystem of courses & chatrooms exist giving false hope to good-hearted people that can’t afford to waste their time or money.
If the marketer is not providing edge and verifying proof, it is unethical for them to cause harm to their consumers.
My $10,000 gauntlet for those marketing courses/services:
-3 years of statements
-Indices traded > 80% of trading days
-Over 250 index trades per year
- Net PNL > $250k from the daily trading of indices (not just one big chop on an in-play name)
If proven wrong, I will redact this statement and publicly make a video that I am wrong and provide credibility to you.
LETS SEPARATE THE WHEAT FROM THE CHAFF!
@DoubleWideCap Hope it‘s going well there! I grew up in the RSM area and loved going to san clemente or newport beach every weekend. Living in dfw now but miss driving the canyons or late night pch drives
If you missed my fascinating discussion with @jam_croissant around the current state of the market,
option flows, and the effects structured products are having on banks....good news...I have a replay: https://t.co/CZXzm0vOiP $spx $vix
I think if a daytrading NADRO trader can start holding their avg win:loss ratio at 1.6 or better, while holding a win% of 40% or better, they have arrived. A lot of people get to this point and don't realize they have figured out A LOT and are doing A LOT very well.
@TheOneLanceB@TheShortBear Any advise being a bit older than him and not feeling like complete trash lol? Trading for like 4 years and haven’t been able to find success yet and seeing the returns he’s made at such a young age is like… damn
