In #2021, LPP has secured the release of over a dozen prisoners, pushed policy and advocacy initiatives that would lead to the release of thousands, and distributed over $500,000 to those impacted by unjust cannabis laws. (1/2)

#cannabis#prohibition#legalization
There have been more than 16 million cannabis arrests in the U.S. since 1995, including an estimated 545,602 in 2019 — significantly more than for all violent crimes combined. Ending the unjust policy of federal prohibition is long overdue.
The opioid crisis isn’t going away. I feel like I see more and more homeless suffering on the streets.
I’m not saying cannabis is the one stop solution - but I do believe it’s more than a bandaid on a bullet wound.
We need to get them off the hard stuff and help them heal.

One day soon, cannabis will be federally legal. The industry will employ hundreds of thousands of people.
We will have a new, exciting industry and culture that unites a diversity of people from all walks of life.
And the @GOP will be remembered as the barrier to all of it.
If cannabis reform isn’t an important issue than neither is:
Criminal justice reform
The opioid crisis
The national debt
The southern border
Jobs
The economy
Veterans
Agriculture
I’m not “obsessed with getting high.” I’m “high” from 8:30 to 10:30 at night each evening. That’s typically it.
You could argue I have a slight obsession with ending cannabis prohibition though.
Ending prohibition has absolutely nothing to do with getting high.
