@ing_thegame @xhenriquefps @GamersNexus There have been many other collections of proof of this story. Check https://t.co/jvo2jUXSOg and others. GN knows that proof has come out but hasn't updated, responded or retracted any claims. THAT is the problem. GN's lack of basic journalistic ethics is appalling.
@ing_thegame @xhenriquefps @GamersNexus This is EXACTLY the misinformation that he's talking about! Linus had emails from Monoblock saying LTT could keep the block. It wasn't until later that they asked for it back, THAT is where the miscommunication happened (and Linus admitted/took responsibility for it).
@notbogo@GamersNexus It's not JUST about 2023. It's obvious that a video with Linus's response in 2023 wouldn't have been as viral. They had good evidence that they weren't as bad as they came off without it.
@Volta700@GamersNexus Linus has numerous videos admitting he's made mistakes and has done huge efforts to improve. He's also got a point. I've seen GN taking quotes out of context many times. If Steve listens and improves he'll just be a better journalist, not a weaker one.
@jayktweets@GamersNexus I've seen what Linus is complaining about with other stories. GN have taken quotes out of context in recent exposes. You don't hear Steve reaching out to the subject like EVERY journalist does. These criticisms are valid and if Steve listens he'll only be a better journalist.
@Exentiostep@GamersNexus They did. That's part of the context that Steve left out that Linus is complaining about. LMG isn't even the ones who discovered the scam, they found out about it from other creators and supposedly Steve was part of the group who was told. Why didn't he tell everyone then?
@xhenriquefps @GamersNexus Yes, many people wrote about the out-of-context quotes that Steve had in the honey video. Watch the original WAN show clip and look at what GN posted, it's extremely questionable.
@BadCodeKov@GamersNexus You're not wrong really. But the concerns are that Steve isn't living up to journalistic standards and integrity. I've seen it in other videos GN has done too. Far too often quotes are taken out of context and you never hear "we reached out but they didn't respond".
@DarthNadaness@GamersNexus He didn't discover it. His team found out about it from other creators. He covered this in context that was cut out of the quote that Steve posted. That's what Linus's complaint is about. I've seen it in other content from GN too. They regularly take quotes out of context.
AI regulation might sound good, but unless EVERYONE agrees to it, it's pointless. AI development isn't like Nuclear weapons, it's not possible to monitor radiation or mining to track it's use, it's easy to hide. The only way forward is open and public otherwise, we all lose.
There is a lot of talk about banning or regulating AI development. This is a lost cause and we explain why in our latest blog post.

@unobfuscate No, they said that Disney was wrong for Dishonoring them and they stood 100% behind the offensive active with no plans to change the chant or stereotypes.
You may not blame the children, but we can't let the adults behind them get away with it.
@lolacoaster Luckily Disney saw that those were inappropriate a fair bit ago. They've been gone for a few years now. Should have been gone earlier, but they're gone now.
@thatKevinGuy@beccalew One day which they would invade the building to try to prevent the candidate that they supposedly support from being confirmed by congress.
