A statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was found standing untouched amid the ruins of a fire in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, on the same day that the Catholic bishops of the United States consecrated the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

🚨 BREAKING: The US Senate has just REJECTED the SAVE America Act as part of budget reconciliation, 48-50 — would've required voter ID and proof of citizenship nationwide
REPUBLICAN NAYs: Thom Tillis, Lisa Murkowski, Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins
UNBELIEVABLE!!
It needed 60 votes.
Why can't the Senate pass what over 80% of Americans want?!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your tender Mother and ours.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
I’m 40 and am going to lose my brother far sooner than anyone should. The very best friend I’ve had. Knowing I have to eventually forge on, and never have another anywhere close to measuring up to him, frightens me to no end. Because I need him. Selfishly, this has been destroying me from the inside-out for some time, now. In losing him, I’ll have lost my perspective, my mentor, my balance, my confidant and the kinetic bond of what I find hilarious.
But here’s what I get to keep!
I keep the lessons of his steady demeanor - especially as he conquers death daily - the example of his rock-solid purview, or his never-ending gratitude for the simplest of simple.
I get to keep boundless memories of our shared moments both big and small, worthy of a trilogy. The imprint into my DNA that Nac has woven through friendship and brotherhood over half our lives is one that so very few are blessed enough to stumble upon. He’s permanent.
And now, thanks to Noah, everyone knows why.
I’m here to spike the football. To pound my chest. To obnoxiously brag.
Be jealous of me. Because my best friend will always be better than yours — and there’s nothing you can do to ever change that.
@yannustev1@steelers@rettac_58@EHeidenreich44@NavalAcademy@NavyFB He will serve the same five year commitment all other commissioned officers serve after he finishes football. He may even be in the reserves until then. I’m not sure about the latter. The rules keep changing.
This spiritual tool kills stress faster than any antidepressant:
It's called Lamentation.
Paul explains it in Philippians 4:6-7:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
There's a command: "Do not be anxious about anything."
Yes.
Even the thing you're thinking about right now that feels impossible to not worry about.
Then, the instruction on how to follow the command:
"but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Ask God for help, and follow it with Thanksgiving.
"Lord, give the me wisdom to handle this according to your will - and thank you in advance for working it out for good."
Try it.
And finally, the promise.
The "spiritual anti-depressant."
"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
The peace?
It won't make sense.
It will be supernatural.
You'll feel peace before the circumstance changes.
The stress will dissipate.
This exactly how David makes it through the season where he was living in caves, behind enemy lines, and being hunted by the King.
It birthed the book of Psalms.
Every psalm follow the pattern of Lamentation.
- Request presented to God
- Followed with thanksgiving
Read any of them.
Don't believe me?
Just try it.
The very thing you're anxious about right now - present it to God, an be honest about it.
Be raw.
Be guttural.
If you're pissed.
If you're scared.
If you feel like you're going to die.
Present it to God.
He already know's how you feel anyway, lol.
But don't stop there.
Follow it with thanksgiving.
Follow it with praise.
Thank Him for what He's done.
Thank Him for who He is.
Thank Him in advance for what He will do.
And...
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Hope this blesses you.
Elon Musk just exposed the one lie every modern nation tells itself.
Musk: “In 1969, we were able to send somebody to the moon.”
Rotary phones. Computers the size of rooms. Slide rules.
We put a human on the moon with less processing power than your watch.
Musk: “Then the space shuttle retired, and the United States could take no one to orbit.”
The most advanced nation in human history went from footprints on the moon to zero capability of leaving the atmosphere.
That is not a funding problem.
That is civilizational decay dressed up as a policy decision.
Musk: “People are mistaken when they think that technology just automatically improves… it will, by itself, degrade.”
That sentence should keep you up tonight.
We treat progress like gravity. Like it pulls us forward whether we try or not.
It is the opposite.
Progress is a boulder on a hill. The second you stop pushing, it rolls back over you. And it never announces itself.
Musk: “You look at great civilizations like ancient Egypt, and they were able to make the pyramids, and they forgot how to do that.”
They did not run out of stone.
They were not conquered.
They got comfortable. And the knowledge bled out so quietly that nobody noticed until it was already gone.
That is the real threat to everything we have built.
Not a nuclear flash. Not an asteroid. Not some dramatic Hollywood collapse.
A quiet forgetting.
Every chip we fabricate. Every rocket we launch. Every data center we power. All of it held together by a thin fraction of the population working at a pace that would break most people.
The moment that fraction gets tired or outnumbered by people who believe the machine runs itself, everything dissolves.
And here is the part nobody wants to say out loud.
We are not special. We are running the same operating system as every civilization that came before us.
Comfort is the sedative. Complacency is the flatline.
One generation that stops fighting is all it has ever taken.
You do not lose the future in a war.
You lose it in your sleep.
