Today we welcomed author Luke Palmer to celebrate #WorldBookDay with creative writing workshops and discussions in whole year groups.

The English Society were delighted to attend a webinar, hosted at Pembroke College, Cambridge, on Ted Hughes’ masterful collection, ‘Crow’, hosted by Dr Mark Wormald. An amazingly engaging and accessible taste of university academia, all of the attendees left feeling inspired.

Our D year group are competing with each other to complete the most quizzes on Accelerated Reader. With Christmas prizes in the offing, the leaderboard is looking tight, with not much between the classes! It is great to see these pupils enjoying their reading.

If you are an aspiring young poet, why not enter the 'Icons in the Landscape' poetry competition? Run by @knighton_house and judged by Dame Judi Dench and David Caddy, this competition is open to 7 - 14 year olds, with prizes for juniors and seniors!
