@BoltonSch just met an amazing group of young men on the ferry at the end of their trip. A credit to your school, their behaviour on the ferry & in the dining room was impeccable
Following Tyne Cot, we paid a visit to Langemark, a German Cemetery. Boys took the time to explore the differences in commemoration of opposing combatant nations.
Taking time to remember at Tyne Cot. The headstone of T. Feasby, whose body was only discovered and identified in 2018 before being interned in the cemetery. He was the great, great, great grandfather of a boy on @BSBDbattlefield 2023.
Fantastic morning at Vimy Ridge, learning about the trenches, tunnels and Canadian World War One sacrifice. Old Boltonian Richard Horrocks on the memorial.

Jude laid a wreath at Vimy Memorial to commemorate Richard Horrocks, an Old Boy who served with the Canadian Infantry, and was killed in action on the 15th September 1916.
Boys have been given a tour of the trenches and tunnels at Vimy Ridge this morning, the site of a hard fought battle by Canadian troops to gain the high ground of Hill 145. @vimyfoundation
Boys reflecting on WW1 at the Ramparts Cemetery in Ypres. Incredibly beautifully maintained by @CWGC. One of the smaller cemeteries but a key part of @BSBDbattlefield 2023
