@seanallen_dev I thought about firebase its just having to add additional step for the user to sign in. Will take look into core data thanks for the tip
@seanallen_dev as i'm close to finishing my first app and publishing it started to wonder if NSUserDefaults would be fine for notes app. The notes are just text, wondering if it won't cause any performance issues and if i should replace it for Core Data. What would you suggest?
@Flexicoder Thanks, sadly got rejected under usefulness. The app is supposed to be simple so submitted appeal and will see what happens. Worst case will add some planned features now.
@cultofmac @lukedormehl Love how everyone is saying do not charge for it. Most of the money for your subscription goes to the artists and the cut that apple is taking even if it’s like 40M a month its not that huge compared to their earnings from other products
Second day of #100DaysOfCode working on some basic UI, already finished with syncing with server and plan for weekend is to finish editing / deleting logs. #therapeia#iOS#Swift#appdev
To be correct and not to offend anyone today i’ve started my #100DaysOfCode during which i want to release 2 (hopefully) unique apps. Day 0/99 #iOS#Swift
"I could build it in a weekend" is an insidious lie we tell ourselves as devs.
First, no you can't. Remember Hofstadter's Law.
Second, operating/scaling production systems is much harder than building them.
So just go pay a SaaS vendor already, yo.
@comptechrob @MaIIardy @cultofmac@EdFromFreelance Well truth is goal of the ipad is eventually replace computer for basic users thats what iOS 13 should bring but just the fact that their surface book is so much behind tech wise and new ipads coming this year most likely bezel less and with face id, it will be hard to compete
