The 3 Lessons from Hon. John Ssebaana Kizito

Giving the opening remarks at the 9th John Ssebaana Kizito Memorial Lecture, Mr. Mugisa Christopher, Ag. CEO, Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda (IBAU), reflected on three enduring lessons from the life and legacy of Hon. John Ssebaana Kizito:

1. Professionalism is non-negotiable.
Excellence, competence and commitment must remain at the heart of our work.

2. Integrity is your greatest capital.
Be honest at all times. In insurance, trust is not just important, it is the foundation of the industry.

3. Innovation and empathy matter.
The future of insurance requires us to embrace new ideas while keeping people and their needs at the centre of what we do.

A powerful reminder that building the future of insurance starts with values that stand the test of time.
