We had an awesome showing at the Adams County Arts Council All County Student Show in Gettysburg on Friday. 12 students had their artwork chosen for the display. You can still see the work which will hang for a few weeks. Check out these amazing creations. ❤️❤️❤️

Aright! These boys (6th grade) are finished with their collaborative 3D sculpture!! Nate built soccer cleats out of cardboard and Heyden made the World Cup using a top of a soda bottle, aluminum foil, hot glue, cardboard and spray paint to make the trophy.

6th graders are working on building 3D or relief cardboard sculptures. They learned about different attachment techniques, all the tools & some even took advantage of working in partners to create projects with the same theme. They are working hard and are doing a fantastic job!

I can’t get over how much I love this picture of Andres (7th) and his face mug! You can feel that smile in your soul. He’s a very talented and artistic kid. It’s so fun teaching kids that are just a joy to be around. #clay #facemug

Alaina D (8th) did an amazing job with her #paperquilling #artwork of a #toucan. She chose the medium and the subject matter and ran with it. She is excellent with attention to detail and completed this in such a short amount of time. I am incredibly proud of her!

Today, 7th grade learned how artists express ideas, opinions and emotions through the use of symbolism. We talked about things like the Holocaust, equal rights, and 9/11. At the end, I asked Ss to write down one thing they took away from today’s lesson. Simple but informative.
