The SG90 hammer pack is live! Link will be in reply, but if you can't find it just search for B Squared Arms in your search engine of choice.
Please read the description before purchasing. It covers projected ship times (first batch is currently being manufactured), what is required, etc.
The pack has a fair amount of laser cut/plasma cut steel that I've outsourced, and they usually take 4-5 weeks to get my orders to me. In the meantime, I'm manufacturing other components myself while waiting on a few others to arrive too.
If you have any questions, drop 'em below.
I've been getting messages and e-mails from people who received their packs with videos showing them working. It's awesome.
I figured it'd be a good idea to make a dedicated function-test video in addition to the install video as more and more people receive their packs.
As always, if you have any issues with your pack upon receiving it, shoot me an e-mail and I'll get it resolved!
I was one of the topped ranked players in the world on this game. It had a super close knit and active community. The clan battles were incredible. A round on Coral Sea might last 3 hours. To this day, no game has come close to matching what BSM had.
I still remember the gamertags of my clanmates. Gosnork, Sithdarthfox, and Mortalstakes. Those guys were the best.
To all of my Japan bros, I want you to know my love of video game firearms is not only for weapons from western games.
This one is still very early on though. It will take many months of work to bring it to life.
It really depends on what you consider to be "fun". I have dozens upon dozens of firearms ranging from tricked-out AR15's to weird bullpups to terrible brands that barely work.
If you're a competitive shooter who takes part in competition, you might find a super soft shooting, fine-tuned gun to be more fun than one with a crude trigger and harsh recoil, because that gun lets you accomplish your goal better.
If I'm just at the range hitting steel targets, I find those soft shooting guns to be a bit on the boring side. It's still a lot of fun! But it's kind of like driving a Prius vs driving a Supra. Sometimes, shooting a gun that is a bit raw around the edges is a lot more fun because of how visceral the feeling is.
So I suppose the short answer is, "It depends". Some people are super picky. I personally just love shooting and have never found a gun I dislike to shoot. I own some crappy guns, but they have a charm in and of themselves that I can't help but like.
It's always cool to open a project file after a long time to see tons of obvious improvements to be made. I've done a lot of design work since wrapping up the first iteration of the M90, and there's a lot of tweaking and changes to be made with the knowledge I've gained since then.
I really should start a contest where people design cool furniture for the G36 platform, and I pick my favorite 1-2 and model + print them to put on my actual G36's. I basically have the entire platform modeled at this point. Making custom furniture would be an absolute breeze.
I bet our Japan bros could come up with some absolutely awesome designs. How about it, Japan Bros. Any of you want to draw some cool furniture to put onto a real G36?
SG90 Install Video is live.
I'll be posting this on Odysee later along with some .STEP and .stl files if people want to print replacement parts or anything in the future (not the housing). Kind of like an archival dev kit.
I know I've been posting a lot of FRT stuff lately, but I want all of my original followers who chose to do so because of my video game replica weaponry to know that I'm still very much so doing that. It's incredibly expensive, and the FRTs are a way to enable that.
Rest assured though, I have big plans for the near future. I want the AR to have, well.
AR.
@Jacklaggins2 In terms of schedule, the Lancer is gonna happen after I wrap up the MA5C. It's going to serve as a stop-gap between the MA5C and the M90 since it's a lot easier to get workin'
@Eat_Aliens As long as it's a genuine HK lower, it should work. It needs the space in front of the hammer where the auto sear usually goes free. I have some FBI and 2-pos HK lowers and it works in those, so as long as that's what you have, it's good to go.
This is probably a shot in the dark, but if anybody here has a lead for getting G36 parts that aren't marked up like crazy, hit me up. I'd like to offer drop-in ready complete lowers, but don't have a source on the four following parts:
>Bolt Hold Open
>Trigger Sear
>Trigger springs
>Sear spring
It won't delay anything. It'd be more of a "nice to have" if I could offer complete lowers fully assembled. As it stands, I plan to offer the pack by itself for people who have HK lowers they can use, and the pack + MJF Nylon lower housings for those who don't. The only thing needed to be supplied by the buyer would be those parts.
Which isn't prohibitively expensive or anything, just an annoying extra step. The pack itself is super dang simple to install, even if you have to put the trigger into the housing yourself.
Honestly, I could make the trigger sear and find a custom manufacturer for the spring. The BHO would be the real pain.
