Our field orientation yesterday helped to kick off the semester by preparing the seniors for their practicum for the 2023-2024 academic year. Shout out to an alum for stopping by to offer support and tips on being successful in their community agency.
We are excited to have one of our rising seniors, Blessing Akandle, participate in study abroad with Barcelona SAE this summer. She heads out on June 28th to join students from Elizabeth City and Winston-Salem State University in a course exploring race and ethnicity in Spain.
After graduation, a group of seniors journeyed to Ghana for two weeks. The new friends, experience, and joy of learning more about social work in the country were incredible! What a fantastic way to close out their academic career with BSU.
