As the Y6s joined our main party during the incident hike, we all had fun performing various outdoor activities. We then put the lads and ladies to hard work bailing David’s hay for the sheep. We finished the day with a spoons tournament won by Jack Rothwell.

On the Y6s second day we participated in camp Olympics followed by our swimming competition. Then we roughed it out on the infamous camp commando course before an orange juice crisis occurred. Lastly we came together and sang around the campfire as we have for so many years

Y6 scouts will be back at school where we left for 3:00pm today ready for pick up.

Then this afternoon we have all been helping collect hay bales for @BoltonSchAlumni Dave who is the farmer who has kindly donated his field for the camp. A lovely bucolic scene

Y6 scouts have arrived safely and are thrown straight into the action. Tents are up, incidents have been dealt with, wellies have been thrown and hay is being baled!

This week was the girls turn to make dragon heads whilst the boys visit Patterdale. The big debate on who did better will be had next week.

Last night we invested the Year 6 scouts. They spent the night learning how to sew their badges onto their new scout shirts. The proof will be how they look next week!

It was great to back on Tuesday with the current year 6 scouts. It was a new experience meeting in the boys gym at the senior school instead of Brookside, but logistically it makes sense. No meeting next week as all the boys are away on school business.
