@t20tracker these leagues need to be banned. absolute disgrace to cricket that leagues like this can just set up without consequence. the same usual suspect players going to play in them as well.
@dk3796075@t20tracker MLC is definitely not bigger than the Hundred, it’s also in the T20 Blast window hence why little to no English players play in it. No crowds in the MLC literally just golf and vibes.
@jfwduffield@wozzajt this is the most ridiculous argument i have ever heard 😂 there would just be ODC games instead of the hundred if you lot got what you wanted, making absolutely no difference whatsoever, there would actually be more games straining the pitch!
Thing is you’ve now had Duckett, Carse, Brook, Bethell, Stokes and Atkinson all involved in “incidents”. All in the space of 6/7 months. At what point do you say it’s the environment created around them causing this and fuck Baz and Key off too? I reckon that point is right now.
@WG_RumblePants wouldn’t call this middlesex team high quality, precisely the exact opposite. The rivalry would be better if they had a half-decent team!
I am not a huge Burnham fan, but the criticism that he held different views 15+ years ago and therefore cannot be trusted is a bit strange coming from Green Party members, considering Zack Polanski was a pro-austerity Lib Dem Zionist 15 years ago.
I can confirm that I will be requesting the permission of the NEC to stand in the Makerfield by-election.
I grew up in this area and have lived here for 25 years. I care deeply about it and its people. I know they have been let down by national politics.
Ten years ago, I decided to leave Westminster. Why? Because, after 16 years, I came to the conclusion that our national political system does not work for areas like ours. I learnt this fighting its failure to invest in the Wigan borough, for justice for the Hillsborough families and against its treatment of Greater Manchester during the pandemic.
Over the last decade, I have been challenging this failure from the outside and building a new and better way of doing politics. We have built Greater Manchester into the fastest-growing city-region in the UK and put buses back under public control, introducing a £2 fare cap to help people with cost-of-living pressures.
However, there is only so much that can be done from Greater Manchester. Much bigger change is needed at a national level if everyday life is to be made more affordable again. This is why I now seek people’s support to return to Parliament: to bring the change we have brought to Greater Manchester to the whole of the UK and make politics work properly for people.
Millions are struggling and they need the Labour Government to succeed. It has already made changes to make life better for them in its first two years. After this week, we owe it to people to come back together as a Labour movement, giving the Prime Minister and the Government the space and stability they need as the by-election takes place.
I want to recognise the difficult decision taken by Josh Simons and the sacrifice he and his family are making. I have worked closely with him as Mayor on issues like flooding and illegal waste dumping and have seen first-hand how effective he has been. He has put the communities of Makerfield first, made a real difference for them and should take great pride in that.
Finally, I truly do not take a single vote for granted and will work hard to regain the trust of people in the Makerfield constituency, many of whom have long supported our party but lost faith in recent times. We will change Labour for the better and make it a party you can believe in again.

🚨GREEN CANDIDATE: Mohammad Suleman.
Newcastle Greens Arthurs Hill candidate is a director of Fenham Properties Ltd.. convicted for environmental vandalism.
In Dec 2024 his firm burned waste in a skip at Grade II listed Pendower Hall to “cut costs”.
Council prosecuted: illegal waste disposal + operating without environmental permit.
Suleman admitted the offences. Company fined £8,500+ in June 2025.
Still their candidate for May 2026.
The Green Party … self-proclaimed champions of the environment … happily fielding a candidate whose company was guilty of illegal burning and pollution.
Peak hypocrisy from the environmentalists.
@Joe212455328289@ACDAFC@fredp2003 whether the rich would leave or is not is irrelevant, tax revenue would fall given that the top 1% contribute the most, public services would suffer as a result and borrowing would continue to rise to fund it, leaving the UK without enough wealth to pay back any debt.
“Far right Christian fundamentalists”
Says the Marxist with a keffiyeh round her neck.
Don’t let anyone tell you this whole thing isn’t a spiritual war.
It’s anti white, anti Christian, anti God, anti nation state, anti family, anti freedom and anti law and order.
It’s pro censorship, pro islam, pro authoritarian. Pro mutiliating children. Pro aborting babies. Pro Net Zero, anti-human. Pro destruction, pro chaos. All disguised as “fighting fascism”
Demonic.
@Jeetv27 payne is a great bowler and should have been used more effectively. the overall bowling attack isn’t great but the way they have been used is awful, especially in the powerplay
