Tomorrow's Feast of the Transfiguration is one of my favorites.

St. Thomas Aquinas teaches that Christ's human soul possessed the Beatific Vision. The Transfiguration, then, wasn't Christ acquiring glory.

It was Christ allowing the glory that was already His to shine through His humanity for a moment.

The greater miracle wasn't Tabor. It was that the Glory of God walked the dusty roads of Galilee, hungry, tired, and unnoticed... for our salvation.

I believe so - chiefly because is main use is as a speculative asset. Catholic social teaching opposes speculation. Pope John Paul II went so far as to claim that speculation made ownership of the means of production illegitimate.
