@planetmoney pod did a whole episode on 'Fed independence' while the new Fed Chair gets installed this Friday.

Cute.

Here's what they didn't cover:
✴️The dollar from 1913 (when the Fed was born) is worth 3 cents today.

✴️2% inflation is a silent tax on every dollar we earn, hold, or spend. Our paycheck. Our cash. Our time. All of it losing value ... no vote, no consent, no opt-out.

✴️The Fed has had 16 chairs in 112 years. Every single one operated the same machine.

✴️The fights over "independence" are just fights about who controls the debasement ... the President or the technocrats. Neither side ever asks whether we should be debasing the currency at all.

The real question was never "should the Fed be independent from politicians?"

It's: why does any institution get to silently tax your money?

⚡️Bitcoin fixes this. 21 million. Hard cap. No chair. No mandate.

The printer doesn't need reform. It needs to be RETIRED.
