Besides essential metrics such as drawdown which is crucial for those who trade with props, profit factor, worst streaks of losses are some very important metrics.
Controlling drawdown in 6 month to a year is not helpful at all, it should be done through thousands of trades.
The other most important analysis that we only do and no one talks about it, is the performance of the system in different market regimes and then calibrating the system to cover its unprofitability.
You can have access to all of these and even more in my platform.
You can try for a system for free.
Traders backtest the same as 20 years ago traders used to do. It's time to really do it differently.
In fact, traders expect to earn millions from trading but they never think about how it's possible.
If you want to be a successful systematic trader today, the first step is to know these:
1. The performance of it through different market regimes;
2. Having access to all the essential metrics of your system such as drawdown to calibrate your system based on your psychology;
3. Having a trade log of at least 1000 trades.
These are not possible in the old method and even if you do, you still lose so much time and still the system might not be reliable.

@rapuru_fx@Marresecira He's trying to say that you're deliberately avoiding losses.
but these are old methods which are not reliable anymore G.
read the bio of my page and DM me.
Focus on what's really helping.
Entering a prop challenge knowing that your system has 60+ win rate only is a suicide.
That's super unreliable.
If you want to beat a prop firm challenge you have to build a system that its drawdown be controlled as prop's limits through thousands of trades and different market regimes.
Then you'll crush it.
But how?

125 DAYS LEFT IN 2026. ⏳
If you’re serious about getting funded before the year ends, lock in.
• Find a strategy that fits you
• Backtest until you have a proven 60%+ win rate
• Risk 1.5% per trade
• Aim for 1:2 RR
• Stop after 2 consecutive losses
• Once funded, risk 1% per trade
• Aim for 2–3% per payout
You don’t need to overtrade.
You need a system, discipline and consistency.
Make them count. 📈

most of traders no.
because there are many challenges with backtesting trading systems.
Time consuming, limited chart data, recording metrics, and even if you pass this challenges and put so much time still the system might not work in different market regimes and you lose so much time and effort.

Human error always can be influential but it can have no reason as well.
anyway, i don't believe in old ways of backtesting.
You should be able to know the result of your system in a few hours and if it was profitable and reliable then master trading it.

we're long away from old non-reliable methods.
Absolutely but i think the backtest and studying should be different.

Backtesting using old ways is not reliable anymore.
You gotta do it differently, I’m trying to introduce a new effective tool in the trading communities.
Backtesting by trading historical charts in TradingView brings nothing but losses.
It’s time consuming, there is not enough chart data and what metrics can you record?
I’ll have a new path to be a systematic profitable trader.
Backtesting, because it has many challenges. Time consuming, limited chart data, and recording metrics.
I’ve built a backtesting platform and I’m trying to introduce a new effective tool to the trading community, solving backtesting challenges.
The first step of proving a trading system is backtesting and it takes time, there is not enough chart data and it’s impossible to record essential metrics over a long time.
Let’s find out the reliability and profitability of our system in a few hours and then master trading it in forward testing and charts.
Welcome to the new era of trading study

You just responded yourself.
The reason why many traders avoid backtesting is its challenges.
Let’s change the view. If there be a path to give you the reliability of your system in a few hours, would you build systems and take this path?
And then when you saw it’s the real deal then you master trading it.
What do you say?

Back testing is the key to become a systematic profitable trader.
But not the old unreliable way.
The way quants do.
Old backtesting method has too many challenges. It’s time consuming, limited chart data, and impossible to record essential metrics.
Have the results of thousands backtest trades in a few hours and then master trading the strategy.
You don’t have time to spend a week backtesting an unreliable system.
First realise its profitability in a short time then master it.

When you relax and stop rushing your learning, you will find that you are pursuing a very complex endeavor. One that no one can shorten your unique learning curve.
After some time, doing back testing, topical studies on Time and Price, you will have a better understanding of how Price reacts to my PD Arrays and at Key Time.
No guesswork on trendlines or gimmicks... just Open, High, Low and Close.

Nice strategy but simple.
Just the problem is the way you’re going to beat the challenges.
Tho best path is to study in a level that props won’t be able to stop you from winning.
And that’s not old method of backtesting.
It’s the new one I’m personally working on
