@JackiePhamotse No one is rich enough to buy back their own past. The present moment is what counts. Your past belongs in the dustbins of history. We write our own future today with the actions we take today. Uyimbokodo today!
@ThugPassion06@thabanisandile3@busiwe_bubu The guy has a R400k per month package on Metro when he was rehired, I’m sure he is over half a mil now. He doesn’t need tenders, with that kind of cash he is literally earning like a CEO
@pablobetter_@londani_t@LungaMrhetjha Do you understand that the middle class get their income from those very corporates you want to tax more? Corporates will always maintain their bottom line, more tax will just mean resizing, in the end the man on the street loses and not corporations
@MorwaRamoabi@SizweLo@Tsogang3 I think we are saying the same thing, bottom line social spending works in places like France because the state is intentional and public resources are well managed, while its the exact opposite in SA
@MorwaRamoabi@SizweLo@Tsogang3 Because their social spending actually goes to the people. Public education is free and it works , most middle class South Africans take their children to private schools, hence the likes of Curro have a thriving business because public schools are dysfunctional
@Ledwabajahiem@AndileNcube Welele, say you don’t know. Diski TV has had sponsors from inception. Nkululeko even shared the figures in Penuel’s podcast. And their views are through the roof
@BhekiRockville@MacDcool@SizweLo If you don’t own the land you pay rent, which is what happens in waterfall, they pay rent on top of municipal rates. The rent is paid upfront for 99 years which is included in the purchase price.
@BhekiRockville@MacDcool@SizweLo Okay, seems like we will be going around in circles. Bottom line except for waterfall where the land is owned by a Trust managed by the Mia family, exemption from transfer duty does not deprive one of land ownership. 1/2
@BhekiRockville@MacDcool@SizweLo Well Bheki, not paying transfer costs just means you are buying directly from the developer and that land is technically not registered in anyone’s personal capacity. I bought in a development own the land. But the same won’t apply in waterfall since the land has a 99 year lease
