Speaking of weather, I just put up Part 1 of my experience with the Pine City storm on July 19, 2019. It's focused more on exposition and why I love storms. Part 2 will be more focused on actual storm footage and then part 3 will be what happens after. https://t.co/f0y5925qgS
My husband used to work w/ John. I thought I'd reach out to all my MN peeps in case someone sees him. As of tonight he is still missing. He's type 1 diabetic, but he may have an insulin pump which may keep him going for a while. Please, if you see him, stay with him and call 911.
#MISSING: Burnsville police say 53-year-old John Michael Kapaun left his home near the 2000 block of 121st Street around 2 p.m. on Tuesday and has not returned.
Kapaun is 5'9" tall, around 175 lbs., with brown hair, a grey beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans, a black belt and black shoes.
He does not have access to a cellphone or vehicle, police say, and Kapaun is known to frequently walk in the Terrace Oaks West Park and Black Dog Park areas.
If you've seen Kapaun or have information about his whereabouts, contact BPD at 952-641-1126 or call 911 immediately.
You are never too far gone.
This is a beautiful quote from C.S. Lewis:
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."
@EiLeeGeorge My condolences. I'm so glad that he at least got to talk to her via the phone. Blessings to you and your family. You are an amazing woman for taking care of her for as long as you did. I'll keep praying that everything will fall into place as you make arrangements. Love you, sis.
@EiLeeGeorge So sorry to hear this, Eilee. Saying prayers for your mother and family. I hope she can make it until she gets to see her son. I am also praying for as gentle transition.
❄️Season's Greetings! ❄️

To All Mothers Everywhere, I really wish you a “Happy Mother’s Day.” Thank you Mothers, for All that you do Everyday! God Bless You and Keep You. #HappyMothersDay#MothersDay
It took everything I had to force myself to go chasing yesterday; and all I got was this lousy, large, unique and magnificent... Oh who am I kidding... I love mammatus clouds!
It was worth the effort.
@EiLeeGeorge Thanks Eilee! It was overcast most of the chase; but then it started clearing on the way home, and I could see some structure. My camera is missing pieces, so I just used my phone. I feel it was a successful practice day.
People blaming NWS of getting it wrong. That's not how forecasting works.
If a rancher warns that a herd of ill-tempered bulls are going to pass through town, but there's no stampede; it doesn't negate the fact that the bulls still went through.
Better dung than destruction.
