@demewill79@esidery Fox doesn’t understand the game, he didn’t freeze, he talked about it after the game.
He’s tried to convince people he knew what he was doing, and that he made the right play.
Wemby shit his pants. Fox doesn’t even know what he did wrong.
@Coach_Oxford@Hookem214@OKCobstinacy Be honest, when you were watching the game, were you thinking “Wow New York is hooping” or was it more “What the actual fuck are the Spurs doing?”
@demewill79@esidery It was his own hubris, his lack of understanding of how to close a game and keep a lead.
All of those things can be excused if you’re a 3rd year player. Not if you’re 10 years deep.
@demewill79@esidery This isn’t about playoff experience, this is about understanding the game.
It wasn’t the physical nature, tough defense, playoff crowd that made Fox dribble the air out of the basketball for 4 possessions in a row and then get blocked on a zero-reward layup.
@demewill79@esidery He’s played at least 5 entire seasons of NBA basketball more than any other starter on the Spurs.
The only person on the team that did a worse job, was Mitch. Because he allowed for his “vet” to throw the game almost singlehandedly.
Spurs’ De’Aaron Fox on attempting the layup late rather than running the clock: “I just thought I’d be able to outrun [Knicks’ OG Anunoby]. That’s it.”
