This is Cllr Rick Rowe, for the Green Party Chiswick Riverside. He proposed to stop outside seating in pubs along the Thames, which was critiallly commented on by Alastair. Rowe sent two police officers to warn him off about X posting on this issue & was threatened with arrest.
Last evening Rowe & his boyfriend visited the pub Alastair was drinking in. He was filmed & Rowe tried to grab his phone.
It appears the @MetCC Police passed on confidential information to Rowe.
Another warm day
I meditate outside
Listening to Bees hum
Birds chatter.
My mind wanders
To Stoer beach
On holiday I walked there daily
Soaking in the sound
Of sea lapping shore.
Who stands there today?
Lucky them!

Morning meditation
The world is silent
I can hear the incense burning.
Outside a Wood Pigeon
Calls melancholically
He sounds weary.
His voice invokes
An instant connection
In my heart.
Both of us walking life’s path
Just doing the best we can.

Three weeks
Of warm weather.
How will this Scotsman cope!
A rare treat to sit outside
In the evening
Feeling the warm sun
On my face.
Today I head out looking for Cranes.
Not seen one this year.
Fingers crossed.

Time flowing
Like a river.
I close my fingers
It keeps on going.
Only yesterday
I spent 6 weeks
In the monastery.
Last week I walked in the mountains.
Both events now
In the distant past.
Like a bubble in a stream.
Leaving no trace.

Just returned
From two weeks
Wondering the remote glens
Of the northwestern
Scottish Highlands.
The silence of the mountains
Still penetrating
My being
As I sit on my cushion.
I can still hear
The Cuckoo’s calling.
#thebuddhistceo#buddhism#highlands
I rise early and meditate.
Heavy rain
Falls from the sky.
I had almost forgotten
It’s reassuring sound.
Beneath the glow
Of my altar candle and incense
I listen to its steady rhythm.
Thinking of all the ancestors
Who meditated to this sound.

A walk through the
Long grass.
I stop for a cup of tea.
Watching the long stems
Sway with the gentle breeze.
Effortlessly flowing
With the changing winds.
Orange flowers
Stretch out towards
The sun.
Making the world
A better place
Just by their presence.

Just a short snippet of narration. If you have an #audiobook project, I'm happy to record a sample.

A delicate flower
Growing by the path.
I don’t know it’s name
Neither does the flower.
Sometimes no concepts are needed.
Just growing
Being alive
Playing its part
In its ecosystem
Is all is needed.
These plant beings
Don’t half rock!

At last
Summer might have arrived
In the north.
I have been drawn
To the Ythan river
These past few days.
Herons stand guarding
The banks.
The occasional Osprey
Hovers over the river
Scanning the water for prey.
Fishermen chest deep in the water.
