She had a bowl of cooked chicken sitting right in front of her - just staring at it all day - and she wouldn’t touch it. She waited until it was dark. By morning, the bowl was empty. That broke my heart. Imagine being so frightened, or having gone through so much, that even eating feels like something you get in trouble for? Nobody knows exactly what happened to her before ARC, but a dog should never have to feel frightened just because she’s hungry. And it immediately made me think of Buddy. Around Mid 2013, Buddy was left on the roadside too. It took days just to get him in and convince him he was safe. Sometimes you look at a rescue dog and realise they can’t tell you what happened to them. You only see the little things they’re still afraid to do. That’s why supporting ARC has become very personal to me. We previously donated $1,700, and today we’re bringing our total support to $2,400 by donating 700$ more in BTC. During my visit, ARC mentioned needing Benebones and dividers for the dogs, so this donation is focused on helping with those needs. And it won’t stop here. We also spoke about building a longer-term relationship between ARC and BUDDY, and we’ve kept them updated on our BNB Chain relaunch. During my visit, ARC mentioned needing Benebones and dividers for the dogs, so this donation is focused on helping with those needs. And it won’t stop here.

We also spoke about building a longer-term relationship between ARC and BUDDY, and we’ve kept them updated on our BNB Chain relaunch. BUDDY has been rebuilt to be more sustainable, and we’re now also rewarding holders in BTC!

There’s also a lot happening behind the scenes that I can’t share yet to not ruin the surprise, but I really didn’t expect the team to be working this hard. Some have full-time jobs and are still putting in late nights, calls and endless work to keep moving things forward.

Spreading some good takes more work than we thought 😅

But then I think about that Doodle waiting until darkness just to feel safe enough to eat - and Buddy finally getting off that roadside. And it reminds me why we’re doing it all.
