The pandemic may have kept us physically apart from our loved ones, but we have been there for each other in different ways.
Today, on #DayOfFamilies, join us in celebrating and thanking families in all their diversity.
Intersectional feminism offers a lens through which we can better understand one another and strive towards a more just future for all.

Q4: Why is @StateHouseKenya afraid of even mentioning the word abortion when it is explicitly included in the constitution? Who or what are they afraid of? Do votes matter more than women’s lives to them? #KatibaForSRHR#AbortionIsHealthCareKe

I am proud to be a woman and I celebrate the qualities that I have.
I am not defined by other people’s opinion of who I should be or what I should do as a woman. I determine that, not anyone else.
Welcome to Kakamega feminist forum.

According to the Women's Empowerment Index (WEI) Report 2020, 29 % of women aged 15-49 years in Kenya are empowered. Women in urban areas are nearly twice as likely to be empowered compared to those in rural areas.

Yes, it’s that time of the month.
Yes, it’s painful.
Yes, it swings moods.
Yes, it is blood, but…
No more embarrassment.
No more shame.
No more explaining and
No more hiding.
Period.
Menstruation is our Business.

With the rise of teenages pregnancies many girls will drop out of school who will the teachers teach? Just boys. It's time to act and ensure adolescents are empowered to make informed sexual choices. #SRHRisEssential#FeministVoices#AfrikanFeminists
Some of the factors affecting utilization include institutional health care barriers and perceived lack of privacy and confidentiality towards the sexual health needs of adolescents. There might be lack of some SRHR commodities in these institutions, but thats not problematic.
