The Region of Waterloo council voted unanimously this evening in support of the motion to explore using region-owned properties as sites for affordable housing.
It’s great to see momentum for this idea!
While it’s disappointing that Cambridge council didn’t take leadership on affordable housing, it is inspiring to see the concept of affordable housing above publicly owned parking lots moving forward in other communities.
