📖 A NETWORK WHITEPAPER SERIES — EPISODE 7
🌉 FROM $ANET TO $wANet: HOW THE A NETWORK BRIDGE WORKS
$ANET and $wANet are connected—but they are not the same asset.
Here is the easiest way to understand them:
🔹 $ANET is the native coin of the A Network blockchain.
🔹 $wANet is the wrapped token used on BNB Smart Chain.
🔹 The bridge connects them.
Think about traveling from one country to another.
Your money has value in your home country. But to use that value in another country, you may need to exchange it into a form accepted there.
A blockchain bridge works in a similar way.
It allows value from one blockchain to be represented and used on another blockchain.
ONE VALUE. TWO BLOCKCHAINS.
🔷 WHAT IS $ANET?
$ANET is the native Layer-1 coin of A Network.
It is mined through A Network mining sessions.
Just as Bitcoin belongs to the Bitcoin blockchain, $ANET belongs to the A Network blockchain.
$ANET is not a BNB Smart Chain token.
It is the main coin of the A Network ecosystem.
🔷 WHAT IS $wANet?
$wANet is a smart-contract token on BNB Smart Chain.
It allows the A Network ecosystem to connect with BNB-compatible wallets, decentralized exchanges and other applications.
The “w” means “wrapped.”
A wrapped token represents value from another blockchain.
It does not replace the original native coin.
$ANET remains the native coin.
$wANet is its wrapped representation on another blockchain.
🌉 HOW DOES THE BRIDGE WORK?
A Network’s bridge creates a connection between $ANET and $wANet.
When an eligible miner bridges $ANET, the system verifies the native $ANET and provides the connected amount of $wANet according to the bridge rules.
For example:
Imagine you bridge 10 $ANET.
The system should not allow you to freely spend the same 10 $ANET while also giving you another full 10 $wANet.
That would count the same value twice.
The original value must be secured or accounted for while its wrapped value is used on the other blockchain.
The bridge should not create free value.
It should move the use of that value from one blockchain environment to another.
That is the main purpose of wrapping.
🔐 WHY ARE 1,000 SESSIONS REQUIRED?
Under A Network’s current rules, miners must complete 1,000 mining sessions before they can unlock and bridge their mined $ANET.
This is known as the Genesis requirement.
It means a displayed mining balance cannot immediately enter the wider ecosystem.
The miner must first complete the required sessions and become eligible.
This connects the bridge to real and consistent mining participation.
💰 WHAT IS THE 1% BRIDGE FEE?
A Network’s bridge includes a 1% fee.
For a simple example:
If you bridge 10 $ANET, a 1% fee equals 0.1 $ANET in value.
Always check the final amount and fee shown by the official bridge before confirming any transaction.
Never guess what you will receive.
Verify it on the screen and then verify the completed transaction on the blockchain.
🛡️ WHY IS BRIDGE SECURITY IMPORTANT?
A bridge connects two different blockchains.
That makes it an important and sensitive part of the ecosystem.
Even when both blockchains are working correctly, an unsafe bridge can still create risk.
Before using any bridge, users should check:
• Is this the official bridge?
• Am I using the correct blockchain?
• Is the receiving wallet address correct?
• What amount am I bridging?
• What fee am I paying?
• What wallet permission am I approving?
• Can I see the completed transaction on-chain?
Never use a bridge link sent by an unknown person.
A fake website may look exactly like the real one.
One wrong signature could give a harmful contract permission to move your tokens.
Always check before you approve.
🔒 HOW IS $wANet SUPPLY PROTECTED?
According to A Network’s published design:
✅ The $wANet contract ownership was renounced
✅ No additional $wANet can be minted
✅ A major part of the supply is secured inside a vault
✅ The vault uses multisignature protection
What does this mean in simple English?
Renounced ownership means the original owner gave up control of owner-only contract functions.
No more minting means the team cannot create additional $wANet whenever it chooses.
The vault holds a major supply allocation under controlled rules.
Multisignature protection means one person should not be able to move vault-held tokens alone. More than one authorized approval is required.
Each protection solves a different problem.
The renounced contract protects against owner-level control.
No minting protects the fixed supply.
The vault protects the stored allocation.
Multisignature approval reduces the risk of one person controlling everything.
But users should not believe these statements only because we say them.
They should verify:
• The official $wANet contract
• The total supply
• The contract ownership record
• Whether minting is still possible
• The vault address and balance
• The multisignature rules
• Every movement recorded on-chain
That is the real power of blockchain.
It allows people to check the proof.
⚠️ $ANET AND $wANet HAVE DIFFERENT JOBS
$ANET is designed for the native A Network blockchain.
$wANet is designed for use on BNB Smart Chain.
They may carry connected value, but they operate in different blockchain environments.
This is why users must always check the network before sending or receiving an asset.
Sending a token through the wrong network can result in a serious loss.
Never look only at the name or logo.
Check the blockchain.
Check the contract address.
Check the wallet network.
Check the bridge.
Check the transaction.
A balance shown inside an app is information.
A transaction recorded on the blockchain is proof.
The bridge is not simply a button that magically changes one coin into another.
It is a system connecting two separate blockchains while protecting one important rule:
THE WRAPPED TOKEN MUST NOT CREATE UNBACKED VALUE.
$ANET is the native coin.
$wANet is the wrapped token.
The bridge connects them.
One ecosystem.
Two blockchain environments.
One value that must always remain transparent and verifiable.

📘 A NETWORK WHITEPAPER SERIES — EPISODE 5
CAN YOU VERIFY THE BLOCKCHAIN—OR ONLY SEE NUMBERS ON A SCREEN?
A blockchain project can show you millions of users.
It can display wallet balances, transaction totals, mining activity and circulating supply.
It can publish screenshots, dashboards and impressive statistics.
But there is one question every serious blockchain user should ask:
Can I independently verify this information—or am I simply being asked to believe it?
That question reveals the difference between blockchain marketing and blockchain infrastructure.
Blockchain was not invented merely to move information from paper onto a screen.
Traditional databases were already capable of doing that.
Blockchain introduced something more important:
A shared digital record that does not depend entirely on one company’s private database or one administrator’s word.
That is the real meaning of public verification.
A SCREEN CAN DISPLAY ANYTHING
When an application displays a balance, that number may come from one of two places:
A private database controlled by the application.
A transaction recorded on an underlying blockchain.
To an ordinary user, both numbers may look exactly the same.
The screen does not tell you whether the information is centralized or decentralized.
It only shows you the final result.
That is why appearance alone is not proof.
An application can display:
“Balance: 10 $ANET.”
But the important questions are:
Where is that balance recorded?
Does it exist only inside the application’s database?
Is it connected to a wallet address?
Can its movement be found on the blockchain?
Can an independent observer verify it?
This does not mean that every number inside an application must immediately be recorded on-chain.
Applications often use off-chain systems for speed, efficiency and user experience.
But users should understand where internal accounting ends and blockchain verification begins.
ON-CHAIN AND OFF-CHAIN DATA
On-chain data is information recorded and confirmed on the blockchain.
Depending on the network, this may include:
• Blocks
• Transactions
• Wallet addresses
• Transaction fees
• Smart-contract activity
• Token transfers
• Timestamps
• Network confirmations
Once accepted according to the network’s rules, that information becomes part of its shared history.
Off-chain data is stored or processed outside the blockchain.
This may include:
• Application profiles
• Notifications
• Internal reward calculations
• Temporary balances
• Private company records
• Data stored on centralized servers
Off-chain systems are not automatically dishonest or unnecessary.
In many cases, they are extremely useful.
Recording every button press, notification or minor application action directly on a blockchain could be slow, expensive and inefficient.
The issue is not whether off-chain systems exist.
The issue is whether a project clearly explains which information is off-chain, which information is on-chain, and when value becomes independently verifiable.
Transparency begins with making that distinction clear.
WHAT MAKES BLOCKCHAIN DATA DIFFERENT?
Imagine two applications display the same balance.
Both show:
“10 coins.”
In the first application, the number exists only in a private database.
The company operating that database can determine how the balance is calculated, displayed or changed.
Users must trust the company’s internal records.
In the second application, the balance is connected to a blockchain address.
The user can examine the address, transaction history and confirmed movements through the network.
The number may look identical on the screen.
But the verification model is completely different.
One balance depends primarily on institutional trust.
The other can be supported by publicly examinable evidence.
That difference is one of the foundations of blockchain technology.
THE BLOCKCHAIN EXPLORER
A blockchain explorer is a tool that organizes blockchain information and makes it searchable.
Think of the blockchain as a continuously growing public ledger.
The explorer is the search engine that helps people examine that ledger.
A user may search using:
• A wallet address
• A transaction hash
• A block number
• A token contract
• A smart-contract address
The explorer may then show:
• When a transaction occurred
• Which addresses participated
• How much value moved
• Which block contains the transaction
• Whether the transaction succeeded or failed
• How many confirmations it received
• What network fee was paid
The explorer does not create the blockchain record.
It reads and organizes information produced by the network.
The blockchain is the source of the data.
The explorer is the window through which people view it.
A TRANSACTION HASH IS A DIGITAL RECEIPT
When a blockchain transaction is submitted, it normally receives a unique identifier known as a transaction hash or transaction ID.
Think of it as a digital tracking number.
When you ship a package, the tracking number allows you to check whether the package was accepted, where it travelled and whether it arrived.
A transaction hash allows you to examine the status and details of a blockchain transaction.
Instead of accepting a screenshot that says:
“Transaction completed,”
you can ask for the transaction hash and examine the record yourself.
Was the transaction submitted?
Was it confirmed?
Which wallet sent it?
Which wallet received it?
How much was transferred?
When did it happen?
Which block recorded it?
This is how blockchain transforms a statement into verifiable evidence.
PUBLIC DOES NOT MEAN PERSONAL
Public verification does not mean everyone must reveal their legal identity.
Most public blockchains are pseudonymous.
The network normally shows wallet addresses, not automatically the names of the people controlling them.
The public may see that:
Wallet A transferred 2 $ANET to Wallet B.
They may be able to verify the amount, time and confirmation without knowing the real-world identities behind either wallet.
This creates an important balance:
The activity can remain transparent while personal identity can remain private.
Blockchain transparency is about making the network’s records examinable.
It is not necessarily about publishing everyone’s private information.
THE EXPLORER IS NOT THE BLOCKCHAIN
This distinction is extremely important.
A blockchain explorer is not the blockchain itself.
It is an interface used to read blockchain data.
Think of the blockchain as a library containing thousands of books.
The explorer is the catalog that helps you locate the correct book and page.
If the catalog temporarily stops working, the books do not automatically disappear.
Similarly, if a blockchain explorer becomes unavailable or falls behind, the underlying blockchain may continue producing blocks and processing transactions.
The network and the explorer are connected—but they are not the same thing.
That brings us to another important subject:
Blockchain indexing.
WHAT IS BLOCKCHAIN INDEXING?
A blockchain can produce enormous amounts of data.
An explorer must collect, organize and index that data before users can search it easily.
Indexing is the process of turning raw blockchain information into a searchable catalog.
Without indexing, the data may still exist, but finding a specific transaction or wallet history would be much more difficult.
An explorer may index information by:
• Block number
• Wallet address
• Transaction hash
• Token contract
• Timestamp
If an explorer has not finished indexing the complete chain, some older or newer information may not immediately appear in its search results.
That does not necessarily mean the underlying blockchain record is missing.
It may mean the explorer has not yet finished processing and organizing that part of the chain.
This is why people should understand three separate layers:
The blockchain produces the record.
The indexer organizes the record.
The explorer displays the record.
When all three operate correctly, users receive a clear and searchable view of network activity.
VERIFIABILITY IS STRONGER THAN VISIBILITY
A project may make information visible without making it independently verifiable.
A dashboard can be visible.
A screenshot can be visible.
A supply number can be visible.
A balance inside an application can be visible.
But visibility only means you can see something.
Verifiability means you can examine the source and test whether the claim is supported by evidence.
That is a much higher standard.
A serious blockchain community should ask:
Where does this information come from?
Is it recorded on the underlying network?
Can it be connected to a wallet, block or transaction?
Can independent participants retrieve the same result?
Does the public record match the project’s claims?
These are not attacks against a project.
They are the questions blockchain technology was designed to make possible.
BLOCKCHAIN DOES NOT ELIMINATE EVERY FORM OF TRUST
People often say blockchain is “trustless.”
That phrase can be misunderstood.
Blockchain does not mean trust disappears from human life.
Users may still need to trust developers to write secure software.
They may need to trust themselves to protect their private keys.
" Not Your Keys , Not Your Coins "
They may need to evaluate whether a smart contract contains risks.
They may need to decide whether a project’s promises are realistic.
What blockchain can do is reduce the amount of blind trust required to verify digital records.
Instead of trusting one institution’s private database, participants can compare records through a shared network operating under defined rules.
Trust is not magically eliminated.
It is shifted away from private claims and toward mathematics, cryptography, transparent rules and network consensus.
TRANSPARENCY DOES NOT GUARANTEE VALUE
A transaction appearing on-chain proves that the transaction was recorded.
It does not prove that the asset will increase in price.
It does not prove that every smart contract is safe.
It does not prove that every project decision is correct.
It does not prove that every participant has honest intentions.
Blockchain can provide evidence of what happened.
People must still understand what that evidence means.
This is why education is as important as access.
An explorer may show perfect information, but that information has limited value if users do not know how to interpret it.
A strong ecosystem should not only provide verification tools.
It should teach its community how to use them.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR A NETWORK
A Network’s long-term vision should not depend on asking the community to accept every statement without evidence.
The goal is to build infrastructure where increasingly more network activity can be examined, understood and independently verified.
That means helping users understand:
• What is recorded on-chain
• What is temporarily processed off-chain
• How transactions become confirmed
• How blockchain information is indexed
• How explorers retrieve and display records
• How wallet activity can be verified
• How public evidence differs from private claims
A blockchain community becomes stronger when its members learn to investigate—not merely believe.
Because decentralization is not only about who controls transactions.
It is also about who controls the information describing those transactions.
If one organization remains the only source capable of confirming what happened, users are still dependent on a central point of trust.
But when records can be independently examined, transparency becomes part of the infrastructure.
FROM “TRUST US” TO “VERIFY IT”
Anyone can publish a number.
Anyone can build an attractive dashboard.
Anyone can announce that a transaction occurred.
Anyone can claim that a network is active.
The real standard should be:
Can the evidence be examined independently?
That is the line separating marketing from verification.
The future of digital ownership should not be built entirely on hidden databases and unverifiable promises.
It should be built on transparent rules, accessible records and infrastructure that allows the public to investigate.
Blockchain is not powerful simply because information is digital.
Blockchain becomes powerful when important digital information can be independently verified.
A public record creates accountability.
On-chain activity creates evidence.
Indexing organizes that evidence.
An explorer makes that evidence understandable.
And education gives the community the ability to verify it.
That is how confidence should be created.
Not by demanding trust.
By earning it through transparency.
A Network is not asking the community to stop asking questions.
It is encouraging the community to ask better questions:
Where is the record?
Where is the transaction?
How was it confirmed?
Can I examine it myself?
Because the strongest blockchain communities are not built by followers who believe everything.
They are built by informed participants who understand how to verify.
Don’t just trust.
Verify it.
