📚 5 RULES TO FOLLOW BEFORE YOU MAKE A TRADE
A professional trader with nearly 30 years in the markets shared the research process he follows every day:
1. Take care of yourself first
Tired, hungry, dehydrated, or unfocused? Trade lighter. Your decision-making matters as much as your strategy.
2. Start with the big picture
Check inflation, interest rates, the Fed, economic data, and major news. Even a great stock setup can fail if the overall market is moving against it.
3. Find where the action is
Look for sectors seeing unusual movement — AI, semiconductors, banks, crypto, etc. Then find the stocks likely to move with the leaders.
4. Build your trade list
Combine the market environment, the strongest sectors, and your strategy to decide what is actually worth trading that day.
5. Study yesterday’s trades
Review what worked AND what didn’t. Losing trades often teach you more than winners.
BullBuzz Takeaway: Trading is like flying a plane. The decisions shouldn’t begin once you’re in the air. Research, build the plan, then execute it when the market opens.

FMC STOCK COLLAPSES NEARLY 46% 🚨📉
$FMC is trading around $4.40 premarket after the agricultural chemical company delivered a massive warning.
FMC now expects just $65M–$125M in quarterly revenue, down from its previous forecast of $840M–$900M.
Weak demand and excess inventory are forcing the company to slash prices and absorb hundreds of millions in charges.
This is a massive reset of expectations, and I wouldn’t rush to buy this dip.
Is $FMC a turnaround opportunity or a falling knife?
INFLATION IS HEATING UP, BUT COSTCO IS RALLYING 🛒📈
$COST is up around 1.3% premarket, approaching $1,000 per share, even as wholesale inflation hits 6.3%, its highest level since 2022.
Costco’s September sales jumped 13% to $30 billion, showing shoppers are still spending.
Higher costs can squeeze retailers’ profits, but Costco’s bulk discounts and loyal members give it an advantage.
I think Costco could be one of the better-positioned retailers if inflation stays hot. People still need groceries, and everyone wants a deal.
Would you buy $COST near $1,000?
TSMC BEATS EARNINGS… STOCK STILL FALLS 📉🤖
$TSM is down nearly 3% premarket despite delivering another strong quarter.
• Revenue: $46.7B, up 41% year over year
• Earnings: $4.60/share, beating expectations
• Q4 revenue forecast: $53.3B at the midpoint
TSMC makes the advanced chips companies like $NVDA and $AAPL use.
Investors seem more nervous about AI stock valuations than actual chip demand. The company is still growing rapidly, but even strong earnings aren’t enough to impress Wall Street right now.
Is this an overreaction?
INFLATION JUST GOT ANOTHER WARNING SIGN 🚨📈
September producer inflation reportedly surged to 6.3%, well above the 5.3% expected.
Monthly prices jumped 1.3%, versus the expected 0.5%.
PPI tracks prices businesses receive before products reach consumers. If those costs keep rising, companies may charge customers more or take a hit to profits.
Yesterday’s consumer inflation report was hot. Now business-level inflation looks even worse.
Does this make it harder for the Fed to justify keeping rates unchanged?

DELL CRASHES 11% AS AI STOCKS GET HAMMERED 📉🤖
$DELL plunged over 11% today, falling nearly $65 per share after Barclays downgraded the stock.
Wall Street is questioning how quickly businesses will start buying AI equipment.
Hotter inflation is raising fears of higher interest rates, making expensive AI projects harder to finance.
$HPE and $NTAP also took major hits.
Investors are realizing that AI growth might take longer to pay off than expected.
Is this a healthy pullback or the beginning of a bigger AI selloff?
NETFLIX CUTS 1,000 JOBS… STOCK GOES UP 📺📈
$NFLX is up around 1% today, trading near $71, as Netflix lays off roughly 6% of its workforce.
It’s the company’s biggest round of job cuts since 2022, affecting around 1,000 employees.
Layoffs can help companies cut expenses and boost profits, which investors sometimes reward.
Wall Street’s strange reality: bad news for employees can be good news for shareholders.
Is Netflix getting more efficient, or is slowing growth becoming a bigger concern?
COREWEAVE CRASHES NEARLY 13% 📉🤖
$CRWV is trading around $68, down nearly $10 today, as investors react to reports of another massive funding plan.
CoreWeave reportedly plans to raise money by issuing new shares and taking on $3 billion in debt to keep expanding its AI data centers.
More funding helps the company grow, but issuing shares can dilute existing investors’ ownership, while debt increases what the company owes.
AI demand may be booming, but investors are starting to question how much companies have to spend to keep up.
Is $CRWV a buying opportunity or a warning sign for AI stocks?
IONQ DROPS AS $2 BILLION SHARE SALE IS REPORTED 📉⚛️
$IONQ is down around 4.6% premarket, trading near $33, following reports of a $2 billion stock offering at $40 per share.
Selling new shares would give IonQ more money to expand its quantum computing business, but it also means existing shareholders own a smaller piece of the company.
IonQ has already been expanding into chip manufacturing and cybersecurity through acquisitions.
More cash to grow, but more shareholder dilution.
I'm buying this dip.
GAS PRICES ARE DRIVING INFLATION HIGHER ⛽📈
September inflation hit 3.7%, but gasoline prices jumped 9.1% in just one month, accounting for more than half of the monthly increase.
Meanwhile, rent rose just 0.2%, while meat and dairy prices actually fell.
This looks more like an energy-driven inflation spike than a broad-based price surge.
But if higher fuel costs spread to shipping, airfare, and everyday goods, the Fed could face a bigger problem.
Does this really justify another rate hike?
FED RATE HIKE ODDS JUST DOUBLED 🚨📈
After inflation came in hotter than expected at 3.7%, traders on Kalshi pushed the odds of an October interest rate hike to roughly 40%, up from around 20%.
Higher rates make borrowing more expensive and can put pressure on stocks, especially tech.
I still believe the Fed will keep rates steady, but stocks could still feel pressure even without another hike.
INFLATION COMES IN HOTTER THAN EXPECTED 🚨📈
September’s U.S. inflation report came in at 3.7%, above the 3.6% Wall Street expected.
Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, also came in hotter at 2.6% vs. 2.5% expected.
Prices are still rising faster than the Fed wants, which could increase pressure to keep rates higher or raise them again.
Not exactly the report tech investors wanted.
Does this change the outlook for $SPY and $QQQ?
BLACKROCK SURGES 5% AFTER STRONG EARNINGS 📈💰
$BLK is trading up about 5% premarket after beating Wall Street’s expectations.
• Earnings: $15.93/share vs. $14.15 expected
• Revenue: $7.75B
• Client investments managed: Record $15.5T - Yes, TRILLION
Investors added another $205 billion to BlackRock’s funds last quarter.
The more money BlackRock manages, the more fees it can collect.
That shows just how much money is still flowing into the markets.
Is $BLK one of Wall Street’s strongest businesses?
HPE SLIDES 4% AS WALL STREET QUESTIONS AI VALUATIONS 📉🤖
$HPE is down around 4% premarket after Barclays downgraded the stock and lowered its price target from $83 to $77.
The concern is that much of HPE’s expected AI growth is already priced in.
Barclays also downgraded $DELL and $NTAP.
This theme is becoming more prevalent across AI stocks. Strong demand doesn’t automatically mean a stock is worth any price.
Is Wall Street being too cautious or too greedy on AI?
TRUMP’S WHITE HOUSE MEDIA BAN BLOCKED BY JUDGE ⚖️🇺🇸
A federal judge has blocked President Trump from banning CNN, MS NOW, and Politico reporters from the White House.
Trump originally barred the outlets over reporting he called “fake news.”
The judge, who was appointed by Trump himself, ruled the bans likely violated constitutional protections for free speech and fair treatment.
The reporters can keep their White House access while the lawsuit continues.
Should a president be allowed to ban news outlets over coverage he disagrees with?
BANK OF AMERICA DROPS NEARLY 4% AFTER EARNINGS 📉🏦
$BAC is trading around $51.87 premarket after reporting third-quarter profits fell from $8.3B to $6.9B.
This is largely due to their $1.2 billion fine for failing to properly monitor and report suspicious transactions potentially tied to money laundering and fraud.
That’s a massive penalty, but it’s also a one-time expense.
Is this an overreaction or a warning sign for $BAC?
HAS ANYONE BEEN WATCHING $GME LATELY? 👀🚀
GameStop is up nearly 31% over the past month, trading around $27.60.
CEO Ryan Cohen just bought another $22.8 MILLION worth of shares, continuing a buying spree that’s pushed his ownership to roughly 9%.
The repeated buying is hard to ignore, especially with $GME already rallying.
Is GameStop setting up for another run? If so, what is Ryan Cohen planning for GameStop’s future?
$MU is a clear buy; it's trading at just 6–7x forward earnings, which is incredibly cheap for a company benefiting this much from AI. The market discounts it because memory chips have historically been cyclical, but I think AI demand is changing that dynamic.
That said, never recommend going all-in on one ticker.
SIX FLAGS PLUNGES 14% AFTER FATAL ROLLER-COASTER INCIDENT 🎢📉
$FUN fell to around $10.20, its lowest closing price since 2009, after a deadly incident at Six Flags Over Georgia.
One person died, and several others were injured. The company has temporarily shut down similar roller coasters at other parks while it investigates the incident.
Six Flags was already struggling with disappointing earnings and declining investor confidence.
Will customers feel comfortable returning?
LIQUIDIA EXPLODES 46% AFTER HOURS 🚀💊
$LQDA is surging after settling its long-running legal battle with $UTHR.
Liquidia agreed to pay $380.7 million to end six lawsuits and protect continued sales of YUTREPIA, its key drug for treating high blood pressure in the lungs.
The stock previously crashed after losing a major patent ruling.
Investors seem to be celebrating the removal of a major threat to Liquidia’s business.
Is this an overreaction, given that they still paid nearly $381 million, or is $LQDA back now that it’s keeping its biggest drug on the market?
