Bruce Willis told Samuel L. Jackson to find a recurring role "everybody loves" so that he'd be protected from box office flops.
“Bruce told me, 'Hopefully you’ll be able to find a character that, when you make bad movies and they don’t make any money, you can always go back to this character everybody loves,'" Jackson remembers. "He said, ‘Arnold’s got Terminator. Sylvester’s got Rocky and Rambo. I’ve got John McClane.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, okay.’ And it didn’t occur to me until I got that Nick Fury role—and I had a nine-picture deal to be Nick Fury—that, ‘Oh, I’m doing what Bruce said. I’ve got this character now.'”
Jon Bernthal was born to play Punisher. The brutal physicality, the broken voice, the constant feeling that Frank Castle could explode at any second, it all fits perfectly.
Matt is in prison, but free from the burden of keeping his dual identity. He’s never been more liberated
Fisk is free, but trapped in a prison of his own loneliness. He has nothing and is nobody, it’s a fate worse than death
Such a perfect way to end the season for both of them
I invite us to remember that perhaps the most repeated line in all of scripture is “It came to pass.” Painful days do pass. It might seem that they won’t, but they do. No regret is forever. No disappointment is fatal or final. No mistake is beyond remedy.

"I would shave my head in an instant. Very happy to do so. I love that character, and he's really the reason I'm here"

I’m asking this sincerely. Do we see other religions openly mocked in mainstream media like this? I’m trying to think of examples where sacred clothing or practices are used as a punchline, and I’m coming up empty.
