To each their own, I guess, but I really don’t understand the subset of film twitter that keeps claiming Nolan isn’t a great “image maker.” Like, c’mon man.. lol
God of Small Things is simply the best English novel written by an Indian author. It’s crazy that it’s a debut novel. Roy literally walked in like a queen. I can’t think of a more eventful debut in the history of Indian literature in English! ❤️
@onwyre AI fication of everything - integrate it in user reviews, pick up patters on user reactions to specific movies. The ultimate goal of Silicon Valley is to have control over how we think. Apply that to every decision they make
What I love so much about this is he’s not just anti-AI, he’s attuned to the fact that most younger people hate it and want nothing to do with it, something I don’t think any of his peers in his age group have articulated
The prestige rocks. TDK rocks. Inception is insane. Interstellar is my fav movie ever. Memento is brilliant. Oppenheimer is harrowing. Nolan is my goat
@muhammadbutt Lol MCU's cultural impact is that it's already forgotten. Dune's cultural impact is that it was a novel written in the 1960s that's still relevant today
Letterboxd about to go the way of IMDb, it looks like. Once someone buys it and realizes that the things people like about it don't make money and they just wanna use it for marketing, it'll become a dinosaur just like with what happened to IMDb and its message boards after Amazon bought it.
