Since this was published Saturday morning it’s been revealed that the Royal Navy’s entire available fleet of hunter-killer submarines is stuck in port unable to sail — all five Astute class subs currently laid up awaiting maintenance and other repair work. @nickwebb2017 Great win, but that coverage on Lancs stream was the worst I've seen- wrong scores, no commentary at times and a guess whether it was 4, 6, or caught on the boundary. Thankfully the Glam stream is the best of all!.
The England and Wales Cricket Board are investigating an incident in a nightclub involving Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson following the first Test against New Zealand.
An ECB statement said the pair were involved in a "breach of team protocols" in the early hours of Monday morning, after the conclusion of England's win at Lord's on Sunday.

The cricket has been gripping in the first Test between England and New Zealand and there has been much to admire in the bowling.
But even though England supporters will be delighted that their side should win the first game of their post-Ashes reset — New Zealand need another 218 runs with seven wickets left and the pitch is getting no easier — the state of the most scrutinised 22 yards of turf in the world remains a major headache for the wider game.
And, while that remains the case, it will become harder and harder for cricket to justify holding so many of its most important games at Lord's — such a wonderful venue with such an imperfect stage.

Sky Cricket are the hallmark of how sport should be broadcast. It’s fun but also very engaging and educational. Rain break, and instead of playing loads of pointless VT’s to fill time we have a very insightful conversation with Nasser, Simon Doull and Ian Ward. Super stuff.
Online voting for the No Confidence in the Board closed earlier today. Any member wishing to vote can attend the SGM in person on Sunday at 0930 Old Trafford.
One of the great pleasures about a Test series v New Zealand is to hear on TMS the gloriously laconic Jeremy Coney, former Kiwi skipper and part time theatre lighting designer.

WIN! There’s no smoke without fire and @YorkshireCCC really were on 🔥 at Headingley tonight, hammering their highest total against @lancscricket at Headingley in Blast history and then routing them for 107. It was the Lankies’ heaviest defeat by runs in T20s. Great fun with
Whatever your views on the Scottish cricket controversy, one thing should never be forgotten: accusations have consequences.
The fallout for @JohnBlain44 and his family was immense. His mother was seriously unwell, his children faced allegations by association, his partner’s health suffered, there was police presence outside the family home, and a family’s reputation was placed under enormous pressure.
Now imagine if someone had decided to take matters into their own hands. Imagine if the hostility had escalated into intimidation or violence.
That’s why evidence matters. Due process matters. And getting the facts right matters.
The consequences of getting it wrong can be devastating. @sportscotland
