Plus has saved our franchise from mediocrity. This man deserves the Hockey Hall of Fame and a Lenovo statue.
Thank you, Roddy.
@Uggg_uggg@WheelSnipeCeIIy I support you, but I just know if I post this same fact I’ll have about 80% of fans saying I’m wrong and stupid and don’t know what years are.
Summer 2020. Nikishin was diagnosed with serious heart problems. IIHF banned him from playing in the World Juniors because of it. He flew to Germany and went through every possible test just to get cleared to keep playing hockey. And this guy went on to win the Stanley Cup!
Jim Valvano taught us to enjoy life and to cherish every moment.
As we continue this journey, we’re reminded that the Stanley Cup Final is about more than hockey. It’s about people, purpose, sacrifice, and appreciating the moments that bring us together.
It's no secret that having an almost completely healthy roster was one of the key ingredients to a #StanleyCup run for the #Canes.
Let's hear it for the training staff. 👏
16-year-old Andrei followed his brother to the US and specifically choose a team just 30 min away from him. They'd show up at each other's games, always supporting one another. These photos of them together with the Stanley Cup mean so much more than any of us can imagine
"We were gonna rotate goalies in the playoffs but Freddie Anderson gave us no reason to..
He got a little bit hurt and Brandon Bussi was ready to rock..
He took us the rest of the way" ~ Rod Brind'Amour

I think someone who hasn’t gotten nearly enough credit for the #StanleyCup win was their owner, Tom Dundon:
1) hired Brind’Amour who had zero head coaching experience
2) hired a GM with a PHD in Chemistry who was a former hockey blogger and should probably be working at Space X
3) Kept the staff and core players together after being one of the league’s best regular season teams & falling short in 8 straight years which included 4 ECF losses
Really cool to see everyone in Carolina get rewarded after being so close for so many years….

During the second round series in Philadelphia, Nikolaj Ehlers was asked how signing with the #Canes was playing out compared to his expectations.
He was right about what he was thinking, indeed.
8 years. Svech and Fishy have been together in Carolina for almost 8 years. And now they're lifting the Stanley Cup together. I'm not crying you're crying 🥹🤧
Rod Brind'Amour on winning the Stanley Cup as a coach compared to as a player:
"I've been asked that a lot here now. It's still awesome. It's just as awesome. But as a player, it was a little different because I'd worked and dreamt about winning the Cup my whole life. And so that was like a piano came off my back. This time around, I wanted it for the group. I wanted them to feel what it's like, and I wanted it so bad for them. So to watch them finally get it, and then when I'm grabbing it, just to see the look on their faces, it's priceless. Because you know how happy they were for me, and it was the other way around for me, you know? And I'll never forget that." #CarolinaCulture #SoundTheSiren #StanleyCup
Sorry guys, but you're gonna need those tissues again. Evgeny Kuznetsov was in Vegas for Game 6 too. And what he said before the game, but especially in those last minutes it hit me right in the chest. He's still a Caniac 🥹
