Finally taking in yesterday’s misty sunrise at Corfe Castle in Dorset. I think this is my favourite: just the towers emerging as the sun rose over the ridge. After so many visits hoping for these conditions, a moment I’ll remember.

A lone pine at Shatterford, looking towards Denny Wood. I spent much of my childhood playing in those woods, so the horizon in this photograph means as much to me as the tree and the light.

Happy Monday! I headed up St Catherine’s Hill hoping to catch the Harvest Moon rising, but the clouds had other ideas! Turning west, I was treated to these sunset colours over Winchester instead.
It’s always worth checking the view behind you… 🌅

Behind the lens at Berrow Beach.

I’d set up hoping for a front-on photograph of the wreck, but that shot wasn’t working for me. I kept looking, changed my angle, and came away with a side-on panorama instead.

The photograph I planned isn’t always the one I end up keeping.

@cd_27_ You may have heard Sunak was trying to clamp down on people claiming whipping lash etc as it’s these false claims everyone makes when they have a 5mph prang while sat in a queue that costs everyone else. The insurance companies actually make a loss . It’s our own fault….
