“What’s really being done here is trying to eliminate online anonymity. If you cannot criticize the govt anonymously and if wrong speech is a crime then it becomes easy to identify all the detractors of the govt in power, and ban, fine or jail them for speech crimes.”
@DekuDraws@Sonic3_da +1 I'm not one to jump the gun and yell that something is AI. I have not looked into all of this enough to say that it is. I'm just saying that this theory does not make any sense to me due to game industry practices and the fact that the composition is generic graphic design.
@DekuDraws@Sonic3_da the old cover arts, but these pieces are so generic and detached from each other and the bg that I really struggle to believe that these aren't premade assets. [2/2]
@lingering_sol And if this was any other online competitive scene, such as speedrunning or a PVP based game, they would not be allowed or acknowledged unless they recorded themselves. And after being proven to be cheaters? Indefinite ban. But, alas, ffxiv WF race has no regulations.
@lingering_sol It was for FRU that they were caught in. I'm not sure what they posted for UMAD, but I'm sure if they were cheating (they most certainly are), then they would've learned from their mistake and turned the plug in off before taking the screenshot.
Basically, no one trusts them.
@lingering_sol (sorry for the @ s mane tank, I always forget)
This is because not a single member streams. Why don't they stream, even though it's easy to do nowadays, and if you have a computer that can run ffxiv (and plugins), then surely you can stream to prove your legitimacy? Gee I wonder.
@lingering_sol@mane_tank That it's something inaccessible to console players, meaning, no matter how little of an advantage you think it is, it is still an unauthorized advantage.
Not only that, but that's just the VISIBLE to US plug in they used. Who knows what else they could've been using.
How to avoid this issue!!
1. Do not ever disclose that you do nsfw or lewd art. Nsfw is against PayPal tos. Ask your client not to too. (Seems bad but we have no choice)
2. Do not deliver the files through paypal if it’s nsfw.
3. You do need some details on invoices. Make it as generic as possible. Eg. “full body art commission on xyz, to be delivered on xyz”.
Keep your NSFW details away from PayPal!!
