Don't be surprised if a terr*r attack happens in the coming days. Chodi and Shah will do everything they can to divert public attention from this issue.
Welcome to New India. 🇮🇳
The BJP-RSS has placed its cadres across Constitutional institutions. Collegium system was already flawed and biased; now, the RSS has taken it over completely.
Starlink is a foreign company, so it’s a national security threat. Jio’s satellite internet will run on SES satellites, a Luxembourg company. Apparently that’s fine. Either foreign satellite operators are a risk or they aren’t.
I don't think it is fully understood what young people are putting on the line in these protests, their courage. They have no rank, money, access, privilege or social media following. Esp. young women who also face the risk of physical harassment. An extraordinary generation.
It seems that the police and the paramilitary forces have been told that you can do whatever you want to do with the press and protestors till a particular time, before the Supreme Court and the SG do their playacting. Shades of 24 hours given in 2002, as @NirjhariSinha recounted
During Anna Hazare's protests, thousands came onto the streets demanding action from the government.
People weren't routinely treated like a national security threat for protesting.
Today, protesters can face barricades, nails, restrictions and a full-blown propaganda campaign.
So let's ask the uncomfortable question:
When did dissent become a crime against the government?
Dear @TimesNow, you've run our video on the detention of journalists today on your Insta without any specific mention/credit. Not on! https://t.co/69cJPW05P9
I don’t attack India. I attack corruption, injustice, and the practices holding India back.
There’s a difference.
Criticizing what’s wrong with India isn’t anti-India. Defending what’s wrong with India is.
