A lot of people think they lack confidence because they have insecurities. But being confident and being afraid are not mutually exclusive. The fear is there whether you put yourself out there or not. So you might as well do the damn thing. 🫣😜
Out: Thinking how you make money gives you self worth.
In: Not relying on a capitalist system to validate your worth because it wasn’t designed for that.
It’s National Coming Out Day and I would like to say that the terms “homosexual” and “heterosexual” didn’t exist until the late 1800s when the concept of sexuality as an identity became popularized so…when are people going to start coming out as heterosexual?
Stop judging yourself for not being at the place in your life you thought you would be by this age. This world is so unpredictable. Also your predictions were mostly based on 90s sitcoms.
Anyone else struggling with feelings of inadequacy today? I know it will pass but right now it feels hard. I know it’s an illusion but right now it feels real. I know I’m not alone but right now I feel lonely.
Me: Am I ok?
Higher Self: Just because there are things in the world that aren’t ok- doesn’t mean you are not. Stop projecting the inadequacies of society on yourself.
The next time you get jealous of another person remind yourself they are just like you: trying to find self worth and be ok in a chaotic world. You’ll realize that what really draws you to that person is seeing yourself in them. That’s not jealousy, that’s compassion.
Friendly reminder that contraction is a natural part of growth. If you don’t think things are happening for you fast enough maybe the lesson is you’re already enough. Maybe that is the growth that really matters.
Me: Becoming more “aware” really sucks sometimes.
Higher Self:
You still thought things sucked before you just weren’t aware you could do something about it. I’m really proud of how far you’ve come.
