I have nothing but respect for @genuinearticles and mean no disrespect here, but there's something many NFT founders might not realize they're doing.

When you boast about the potential profits of holding XYZ NFT, you attract an extractive behavior. People who see this think, "Okay, I buy this NFT and get lots of free sht" You've essentially stuck up a sign saying, "Hey freeloaders, come buy my NFT and get free sht!" These people will take, take, take, and not contribute to the community. They'll expect and feel entitled to free sht.

Once the freebies stop, your NFT loses its appeal, they dump it, move on, and you have to start the cycle again with another batch of freeloaders. This is the "give a man a fish" tactic. Instead, founders should take leadership seriously, advertise the true value of being part of their community, and teach members how to fish, build connections, and contribute.

Sure, you might not see a quick pump or onboard hundreds of users a day, but that just shows there aren't many genuine people in this space, it's overrun by degenerate extractors. Who do you want in your community? 100 genuine, ride-or-die mfers or 1,000 locusts who move on as soon as you have nothing left to give?

Let's list other issues. 99% of projects produce absolute garbage—the litany of scams and Ponzis. I am surprised no one has asked “Why” all these projects exist.
