Tonight, the Iowa women and LSU women will play each other in an Elite Eight match-up of last year's iconic championship game.
LSU's Angel Reese and Flau'jae Johnson will face off against Iowa's Caitlin Clark.
May I offer some advice to folks tuning in?
Let these women fight. Let these women compete. Let these women get angry and passionate and give their all for their teams and this glorious sport.
Stop infantilizing women athletes. Stop policing their emotions. Stop questioning the existence and morality of women with a chip on their shoulder and a bone to pick with the world and a rival to utterly vanquish.
There will be a winner and there will be a loser, and thank god for that. Give praise to the heavens that women have the freedom to openly and proudly compete for greatness.
The loser will go home and the winner will go to the Final Four and a chance to win it all and go to the White House, and that is good for women's sports.
You would never question the competitiveness and ruthlessness of men. Give women the same opportunity to conquer all before them.
Let them fight and give thanks for it.

Introverts are not shy, they're picky. Yes, they talk. And they talk a lotttt. But not with colleagues, neighbours, and cashiers at Walmart. Small talk ewws them. Drains them. Empties their soul. They pick 2 people to share their life with. That's it. They're done.
Never "fact check" an introvert. They don't just say things. They've read, researched, reflected, and watched the 8 hr documentary twice before they even open their mouth. Your facts come from Ted-talks. They've been to the deepest darkest rabbit holes. We're not the same.
Introverts don't hate socializing, they're picky. They want depth. They want connection. They want meaningful interactions. They're not being rude or closed off. It's just that they're all or nothing kinda people. Once you're in, you're in. And they only have room for a few.
One of Monty Williams’ mantras is, “I’m not calling you out, I’m calling you up.”
Think of accountability as being called up, not out.
If someone is holding you accountable, it’s because they know you’re capable of more.
Rise up to being called up.
