@Lamar916kid@FTFonFS1@getnickwright To borrow a phrase from Kevin Wildes, dimming the candles of Trevor Lawrence does not brighten Purdy's. Tlaw has been great this season, y'all thought he was a bust back in the Trevor Trash Hour era
@ACoolage69420@FTFonFS1@getnickwright@GregJennings You're kinda ignoring the substance of his argument. The point is that Burrow had a higher floor coming into the NFL, and Trevor had a higher ceiling but needed coaching to get there. And now that Trevor has Coen, he's gotten there
@HITTAFTW@Adiofreak@Cloudymusic007 They got 6 points AND 40 seconds. And if they didn't get the TD, it would've been 2 minutes and 3 pts from a FG. Even if you disagree w/ the decision, it's closer than you're framing it as. At worst just a normal bad decision, no different to a bad read on a throw
@juanstarfornow@BeatinTheBookie If they get the TD (which they did), it's 40 sec off the clock and 7 pts. If they don't get the TD, it's around 2 minutes and a field goal for 3 pts, which still makes it a 4 score game same as a TD. Even if you disagree w/ the decision, it isn't insane in the heat of the moment
@RayzenP019@joey30765441@Spookyaki123@KyleKulinski Ez to say from the couch, but on the field it's a split second decision once you break thru the pile whether 4 points > 2 minutes, and throughout the drive he probably had the general directive of "control the clock" in the back of his head. No different to a bad read on a throw.
@RayzenP019@joey30765441@Spookyaki123@KyleKulinski 40 seconds burnt and a TD is better than 0 seconds burnt and a TD, so Tlaw's decision still helped slightly more than just running it in.
Overall, it was probably a bad decision because of the chance of a fumble, but not anything crazy in the heat of the moment.
@MikeT03045010@joey30765441@Spookyaki123@KyleKulinski If they ended up not scoring a TD at all on 3 rushes, it would've been around 2 minutes and a field goal. Otherwise, 40 seconds and a TD is better than 0 seconds and a TD
@doctur0n@joey30765441@KyleKulinski It probably wasn't the correct decision in this circumstance given the time on the clock, but it wasn't some unthinkably illogical decision in the heat of the moment to the point that you should jump to gambling accusations. You can clearly see the logic in what he was doing
@SportsPhilly40@getnickwright Confirmation bias. TLaw, Purdy, Maye and Dart get plenty of criticism and doubters, while Jordan Love and Caleb Williams get plenty of praise
@stopthacap713@FTFonFS1@getnickwright@kevinwildes@Chris_Broussard I forget which ones, but I think one or two of the hosts mentioned they watch games on multiple screens in parallel, and the third said he only watches one at a time, and they had a little debate about it at one point
@BlakeC@WembyCentral Even if he won these finals and got a ring, if he ended up never making it back, almost everyone could consider it a huge disappointment and waste of potential. When people have such huge expectations, I think it's fair to let it cut both ways
@hewjunter666 @LakeShowYo Bro all of these NBA players are super tall, why not set the limit to 6'6" or something at that point? If anything, people who don't like how much height matters in bball should like Wemby, because he shows all these other super tall players that there's always a bigger fish
@MrPerfectForYou@vincent_elric@BiasedHouston By that logic, every country in the world has "freedom of speech," its just the consequences that vary lol. Besides, if avoiding consequences is all that matters and moral principles are irrelevant, then what's wrong with saying stuff safely behind a screen to avoid consequences?
@MrPerfectForYou@vincent_elric@BiasedHouston Freedom of speech does mean freedom from violent consequences lmao. Otherwise you don't believe in freedom of speech.
Besides, if Ball doesn't want to be called a clown, he shouldn't drive like one, everyone else in society has already learned how to use traffic lights
@YouAreWorthNada@TechHoopz@___fazo@getnickwright Sure, but there's way more stuff out there that implies he isn't racist, than stuff that implies he is racist. TBH, I think it's more likely that you're racist towards Nick for being white than it is that he's racist towards Ball for being black.
