By publicly pointing out that the single holdout in the 11-1 mistrial was one of only three men on the jury, he put a massive, dangerous target right on that man’s back. Why would a defense lawyer leak specific demographics about a lone holdout? Because it sends a chilling message to every single juror who will ever sit in that courtroom if they have a retrial:
