BREAKING: Woodside’s BROWSE IS BLOCKED and the BURRUP HUB IS DISRUPTED
WA’s EPA has knocked back Woodside’s Browse gas proposal due to its unacceptable impacts on WA’s marine environment and the Scott Reef (🧵)
GUILTY BUT UNREPENTANT
"Matilda Lane-Rose defended the activists' decision to target Ms O'Neill's home, arguing that oil and gas emissions were driving up the risk to homes around the world"
Support Tilda and co on Feb 4 at 9.30, Central Law Courts, Perth for their sentencing
Just how captured is @walabor by the fossil fuel giant @WoodsideEnergy?
Well, Premier @RogerCookMLA, Education Minister @TonyButi_MLA & Woodside CEO Meg O'Neill just jointly announced that Woodside's spending $20 million to upgrade a Pilbara high school.
Greenwashing at its finest.
Can't you leave the kids out of it, Roger?? It's their future Woodside is destroying https://t.co/tCixxQEZD6
BREAKING: Fossil fuel giant @WoodsideEnergy's plans to dump 4 million tons of carbon each year underneath the ocean floor at Scott Reef using a technique that has never before been attempted before in Australia, have been revealed by the Federal Environment Department.
The carbon dumping plans, also known as CCS, were released on January 3 while many Australians were off work for summer holidays or at the beach & are only open for public comment for 10 days!
After previously describing offshore carbon dumping, at Browse as “high risk, high cost” and “unproven” in an application to the federal regulator, Woodside is now relying on this failed technology in order to try and get this dismal project approved!
Absolute madness. We can't let it happen! #StopWoodside #SaveScottReef
Adani HASN'T APPEALED the Supreme Court ruling that ‘struck out’ all key allegations against me. BUT still hasn’t dropped #DadvsAdani 🤬
I’ll find out if/what Adani re-pleads on Feb 14, back in Court Feb 17 to see what’s next. Stick with me, chip in 👉🏽 https://t.co/uoctQzYjPq
In 2023, Magistrate Young fined a young artist $7500 for spraying paint on some perspex at the Art Gallery of WA.
In 2025, Magistrate Young fined an oil and gas multinational $10,000 for spilling oil in the Indian Ocean and killing dolphins.
Is Magistrate Young out of his mind?
Predictions for 2025:

IN: $10,000 fines for spilling 25,000 litres of oil into the ocean and killing dolphins

WATCH this DISRUPT BURRUP HUB campaigner call out Roger Cook and the mainstream media for their complicity in CLIMATE CRIMES. How will they be remembered by future generations?
Q: What's it like to be at the centre of outrage manufactured by Murdoch's @australian, suffer constant attacks from Stokes's @westaustralian, and be mocked by professional pest @Joe_Hildebrand?
A: Worth it to be on the right side of history

Gerard Mazza, Tahlia Stolarski and Jesse Noakes attempted to set off a stink bomb at the AGM last year.
They face the District Court for sentencing in January.

“They’re guilty of creating the false belief that 6 billion tonnes of emissions from Woodside’s Burrup Hub won’t cause climate chaos and mass death.

“One day, perhaps Woodside and the WA government will be pulled before a court like this one. They’ll be charged with much more serious crimes, and their victims will be future generations and all life on earth."
Yesterday, DISRUPT BURRUP HUB campaigners pleaded guilty to 'creating a false belief' as a result of their prank at the 2023 Woodside AGM.
Gerard Mazza said outside court: "if we want to talk about creating false beliefs, let’s talk about Woodside and the WA state government..."
