Last, but not least, during our panel on "Postcolonial Delusion," Kewou Ndeuchi Florence considered “Interculturality in Mohammed Dib’s novel creation: 'The Big House'” and @alice2reviers presented “Neige, After Nedjma: Passing and Inheriting Race in "DNA" (Maïwenn, 2020)”
We heard a multilingual panel, "Emancipation from Heteronormativity in 17th Century France and
Mexico," where Rose Tehrani explored poetry of Sor Juana and Rosamaría Roffiel and Madelyn Neal discussed Molière's "Dom Juan"
Taking us through Brazilian literature, we heard from Emerson Graig on “Queering the Wild Heart of Joana in Clarice Lispector’s 'Perto do coração selvagem'” and Paulo Acácio Soares on “The making of whiteness in Southern Brazil: deconstructing hegemonic constructs”
