Playing AAU/Club ball doesn’t make you special. Almost every kid plays off season basketball. Development & the extra work in the gym is what makes you better. Keep your butt in the gym & rep game skills. If you aren’t working on your skills & progress, you’re only getting worse!

We should be teaching off ball screen reads to youth players…
But instead we are arguing with refs every weekend
We should be correcting shooting mechanics…
But instead we are installing diamond press zones to win pointless tournaments
This is my problem with youth hoops.
The success of any team or organization isn’t always something immediately seen on the scoreboard, record, or bottom line. Start by creating the right culture, hold your team to high standards, and over time the “wins” will follow. Great things take time!
