Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WOW -- What A Ride!
I used to think the average person had common sense.
Then I started seeing people argue that kids canโt consent to โgender-affirming careโ because theyโre too young to make permanent decisions about their bodies. And I thought, โCool, so youโre against circumcision too, right?โ
Thatโs when I discovered that applying the same principle in a different context is apparently an impossible task for a shocking number of people.
So let me get this straight: if a kid wants something done to their body, theyโre too young to consent. But if you want something done to their body, suddenly consent isnโt important?
Soooโฆ you can chop up your kid how you want, but not how they want?
How about we stop chopping up kids altogether?
Itโs a pretty simple rule: donโt permanently alter a childโs genitals unless thereโs a genuine medical necessity. The fact that you like a particular form of mutilation doesnโt magically make it not mutilation.
@toddstarnes I understand your frustration. It must be saddening to know that you are rapidly becoming more and more irrelevant. What are you going to rant about when Trump is out of the White House?
@AZ_Brittney I have been doing that since 2016. As an independent I have voted for candidates from all parties. I will no longer do that. I can't support anyone or any party that supports Trump.
@nicksortor So, Trump's toadies in Congress are willing to change the law so that he can have another vanity project at taxpayer expense, Meanwhile nothing is being done to assuage the economic problems that most American's are facing. The 2026 midterm ads are writing themselves.
@RHooko@_InfoGram_ In June of 2025 President trump had Iran's nuclear enrichment sites bombed. He then announced that Iran's nuclear program was obliterated. Explain to me why Iran needed to be attacked again.
@leighmkay@MrGeorgeWallace True, but why not give up the corporate sponsorship seats for more military seats? After all I'm sure dana White really doesn't need the money.
@leighmkay@MrGeorgeWallace There are 4,300 seats available on the South Lawn. 1,200 seats are reserved for Military that is 27% roughly. less than 1/3. The rest are reserved for guests of Trump and Dana White. That doesn't sound fair, especially when as much as $1.5 million is being paid for those invites.
@leighmkay@MrGeorgeWallace I don't know which is sadder. That you support using Military as photo ops for this bullshit, or that you support Trump's vanity projects.
@leighmkay@MrGeorgeWallace I have no problem with the UFC. I have a problem with the UFC on the South Lawn of the White House. Especially when most Americans won't be able to get tickets, nor could they afford them.
@jbinnall@FBIDirectorKash Interesting that only 7 of 19 claims are listed as false. Does that mean that the other 12 are true? As others have mentioned, discovery (which is under oath) will be interesting, much more so than any "debunking" done on a talk show.
